Went for BLACK SHIELD and PRINCE VALIANT, two very W I D E S C R E E N pics from the early days of Cinemascope, which should look awesome on Blu. Reviews say VALIANT has some issues with color fluctuation, but that it beats the SD version. I hate that they are both bare bones though, not even including the trailer, but in the end it's the movie that counts.

I considered M, but then found out it's Region B LOCKED. Too bad as it is supposed to be superior to the Criterion BLU and certainly would have been cheaper than the latter.

I had good luck with them last time as well (Black Shield, Wizards). I would like to order Prince Valiant and Ali Baba this time around. Does anybody know if Ali Baba is region locked?

Edit: According to Amazon.uk and another site, it is region free. So I'm good there $24.95 american total for the two.

Almost ordered WILL SUCCESS SPOIL ROCK HUNTER before I read on Beaver that it's Region LOCKED. I am so sick of all these Region restrictions as I have an SD Region Free player, but not a Blu one. Eureka has the vastly superior METROPOLIS set, but it's locked. Good news on ALI BABA though, but couldn't it at least have the trailer on it?

I would certainly hope not. Geezus, that is not even close. Almost like they switched boxes and somebody else has your blu-rays. Actually I would bet that is what happened. I am guessing mine will be here today. If I get those five titles you mention first, I'll let you know (of course then the obvious question would be who got my two discs. )

I'm sure they'll just tell you to keep them. Those are all Region B though.

That would be pretty nice of them...but, I own the criterion For all Mankind disc and Profound Desires already. Would be nice to upgrade Fantastic Planet for free though.

So, this sale just got a lot better for me (free Fantastic Planet).
