You all can thank the assholes at Blu-ray.com who abused the recent glitch.

The first thing I thought of, especially the guy who cleaned them out of about $5000 of stuff, judging by the picture he posted of his haul.

Re: WB insider rewards

They should charge the fucker with fraud. That would stop this nonsense when promotions are offered.

That is correct. And IF wbshop will use the same number of points to redeem for a free title, then you need a minimum of 1500 points to get a free BD. So if you have 10 or more codes to enter, then everyone should take the time to enter them. I found a bunch of codes I had not entered yet. I'll be entering them all this week... I had a bunch more codes. I took advantage of the glitch on one account to add 900 points to the 600 I already had. But then I felt guilty after, and added 6 more codes to my account. They ended up wiping out 400 of those, lowering me back to 500. So I really only got 500 points out of the glitch. The guys who went crazy with the auto-refresh getting tons of titles should be shot. He killed the program for everyone...

Re: WB insider rewards

I have just a hair over 1600 points sitting in my account. Glad to see I'll be able to hopefully) get SOMETHING out of it, but disappointed that the program has been ruined and is getting shut down.

Re: WB insider rewards

I just added 6 more to put me at 1600 points also. I went through their list so I think I have all of them entered now.

Re: WB insider rewards

If anyone has an extra code they won't be using, I need one more to get to the reward level.

Re: WB insider rewards

I'm only at 1100. I need 400 points more to get to the first level, and I've used every code I have plus a few from the in-laws who never used them.

Re: WB insider rewards

The FAQ doesn't say anything about levels--makes it sound like maybe a credit based on your number of points:

Will I lose any points?
Members will be able to redeem a reward that is equal in value to the amount of points in their account.

Points will be converted to coupons to be redeemed at WB Shop for a selection of Warner Bros. Blu-ray and DVD titles. The coupons will be for the approximate value of your points.

Also the site says this:

"After August 1st, 2012, members with enough points to qualify for a reward will be provided with instructions to redeem their rewards at WBshop.com."

We don't know what is "enough points".

Re: WB insider rewards

I wonder if 1500 points will equal $15, or something like that... In some ways, that would be better than $15 for a free title, since their selection was limited, and $15 off "anything" could be worthwhile...
I added a bunch of codes yesterday and today. I have two more I "could" add, but I realized the box sets were majorly damaged, and i want to exchange them for undamaged ones... Somehow I missed it when I purchased them. I was amazed at how many I had, which I had never entered... I usually keep an eye out for the WB logo, but Warner Premiere and New Line Cinema logos are different, and also have codes...

New WB FAQ says you need at least 500 points for a reward.

Re: WB insider rewards

Looks like I blew it. I had a note in my calendar to join and enter my points by 8/1, but I goofed up as 7/29 was the points deadline and 8/1 is when they were going to tell us how to use the points. Who knows how many points I would've gotten. I was tempted by Insider Rewards so many times, but never got around to it... mainly because I had no idea what they had for what points nor did I take the time to go through what I own to figure out how many points I could've gotten. I guess it's best that I don't go through them now so I'll never know how much I missed.

It's sort of like Netflix... I've been wanting to join for their $7.99 streaming for a long time, but I'm offended they won't let you see what's available until after you join for their free trial. Why keep your selection a secret? Even Blockbuster, Costco and Sam's Club will let you browse their inventory online without a membership, but Netflix won't.

If you've never joined Netflix before, I'm pretty sure you can get a free trial.

Re: WB insider rewards

Have a feeling they will be like 2 buck coupons and you can only use one at a time. Not getting anything for free.

Re: WB insider rewards

^ Interesting. They have a section called "Free Blu-ray" with 23 titles, and a section called "Insider Rewards: Blu-ray" with 35 titles. And of course DVD categories of each as well. But "Insider Rewards: DVD" has NO TITLES at all. "Free DVD" has 77 titles. There is a combined DVD/BD section called "Insider Rewards Titles" with 95 titles (64 BD, 31 DVD), which is strange since none of those numbers match. I wonder what the difference is between these sections...

Re: WB insider rewards

So people don't have to ask every day, how about we all make a pact that if you receive your email and no one else has posted that they have received theirs, it is your duty to update the group?

Re: WB insider rewards

Someone on another forum asked Warner and got this response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your participation in WB Insider Rewards.
Unfortunately the program concluded as of July 29, 2012. Look for a
member only email from WB Insider Rewards by August 5th with more
details about any rewards you qualify for and a special gift from Warner Bros.
as a token of our gratitude for participating in the WB Insider Rewards
Program.

Best,

The WB Insider Rewards Team

I did the same thing. But I screwed up by opening a few ineligible titles. They had codes, but OLD ones, before Insider Rewards existed... I was able to redeem several expired digital copies as well, but a few I couldn't. Strangely, some of the old codes didn't fit. They were short codes, but the software wanted like 5 groups of 5 characters. I don't usually use digital copies anyway. I just figured it was something to mess around with on my upcoming vacation...
