Yes, I was actually going to try 2 $5 Target coupons along with the DMR coupon.

When I got back the receipt, the 2nd $5 Target coupon did not take and the $5 was taken off the Bty & Beast instead of Tangled. This was despite the fact I handed her the Tangled, then the $5 coupon, then B&B then the 2nd $5 coupon, then the DMR coupon. The prorated amounts on the receipt were 20.44 for Tangled and 14.45 (~) for BB. I don't know if it had been any different if I did not handed her the 2nd Target coupon or not. I should have calculated the amount of the final purchase beforehand so I would know if all the coupons had taken or not.

OK, "Sure, I just printed it in B&W, as is, scaled it to fit the page, and brought it to Target with no problems from the cashier."

Actually I just re-sized the first coupon image to fit two on a page, printed in BW and folded it over.

Minor additional discount if you can make use of it, but I got a Target coupon in the printer along with my Tangled receipt for $3 off any $29.99 or higher Disney blu ray disc. Code is TGT6VSHW and can be used online.

SCOORE

They accepted the Target $5 coupon directly from my phone. No printout necessary. Then I handed them the DMR coupon.

$14.99 - and I was able to get one with the Golden Book bonus, there weren't many left.

I wanted to get Tangled with the Golden Book and all of their copies were spider-wrapped and damaged so I passed. It pisses me off that they do that and completely trash the covers.

I was worried about that as well. Luckily, my Target didn't have the copies with the Golden Book bonus in any sort of security device, so I was pleased.

YIKES! Sounds like that experiment failed. I hope you had another coupon printed so you could go back and try again, with just Tangled...

That was exactly what I was hoping to read! Thank you.

Wait just a second! Okay, let me get this straight. You got the image on your phone, presented your phone with the image on screen, and got the $5 off? Could it be that simple? Nonetheless, I will go to Target as soon as I can and bring both the printout and the image on my BlackBerry.

At least for me. Maybe if you tried a different order, it might make a difference? Unless of course, the cashier didn't scan that 2nd Target coupon, but I thought she did.

Yes I did have another coupon and will just return that first receipt later. I always come prepared for these things.

She probably scanned it, but didn't notice that it didn't apply. As others have said, it doesn't appear the target computer system is automatically recognizing Tangled as an eligible title, even though there's no reason it shouldn't be.

I went back today and bought a second copy for my sister-in-law, and had the same issue. The coupon didn't recognize an eligible purchase in my order, but she looked at the coupon, saw it was a Disney Blu Ray and verified that it was 24.99 or higher and hit the override.

Yep, the coupon is scannable right off your phone. If for some reason it doesn't scan, have them type in the coupon barcode number.

I know after I handed her Tangled and then the $5 coupon the temporary total was 21.xx (w/ tax), so the coupon was applied. I believed she did do an override to get it applied. It may be either that you couldn't use the same coupon twice in one transaction (From my scanning of this thread, there may be another $5 coupon with a different UPC) or that the system re-configured the transaction to apply the $5 off to B&B and when I gave here the 2nd coupon she didn't allow it to be applied to Tangled. I'd like to know if anybody gets this to work, but I think I'm done with it after I do my returns.

If you are just getting the 2-DISC BD/DVD combo pack--what coupon should I be bringing?? Sorry but there are like 3 threads on this and I did not realize how many people have 3D TV's already. Lemme know...

Unfortunately, technically, none. The Disney coupon is good only for the 3D combo set. You can try and sneak the 2D combo set in, but YMMV, which is why I said "technically". The Target coupon is good only for Disney Blu-rays $24.99 and higher. The 2D combo set is $19.99, which is why I said "unfortunately".

I, personally, don't own a 3D TV right now, but with the Disney coupon, the 3D combo set becomes the same price as the 2D combo set, and the only differences between the two sets is the digital copy and the 3D Blu-ray. Essentially, Disney is paying for the digital copy and the 3D Blu-ray with their coupon.

Thanks bro, I appreciate it. Is everyone jumping on the four pack b/c of the stacking of coupons and the low total cost or does everyone already have 3D TV's? I am just curious b/c like when BD players were released, I waited for the price drops...

You should be bringing the disney one. If you get the 2-disc you'll be paying the same thing as one would with the 4-disc with both coupons. And you can always sell the 3d-disc and the digital copy if you so choose.

I, for one, am jumping in on this, despite not having a BD player and TV capable of playing 3D, as of yet, just for the $14.99 price - even if one eventually uses the digital copy as a coaster, it is $5 cheaper than the standard 2D combo set. Plus, I read that some are selling just the 3D Blu-ray disc for at least $5. If you do, you end up paying about $10 for a 4-disc Disney Blu-ray combo pack that's worth $50 MSRP! That's a steal!

Re: Target $5 Disney Blu-ray Coupon

I do not have a 3D TV either, but the price was good, and it allows my options to be open down the road. Also, I can sell the 3D disc if I want, often times for $15-$20.

I got the 3D combo for $14.99 today in Greenland, NH. Cashier didn't want to accept two coupons, so had him talk to the floor manager and then he came back with an apology and swiped them both through. Thanks for coupon!!!

O/T but the Tangled DMR points is actually 200 points on the 4disc 3D BD version.

In case anyone is wondering.

Almost, except I scaled it to 4" wide as instructed as it was clearly not meant to be full page. I just printed in B&W, cut it out carefully and folded the two halves. The first Target I went to (my usual one) was uncharacteristically snotty (with 2 cashiers I've never seen before... who knows if my results would've been different with the other cashier). When I handed my folded coupon the cashier immediately said "I don't think we can take this" without scanning it, and while I was waiting went over to customer service with a leading question "we can't take this, right?" and of course the customer service rep agreed. She came back happy she could deny me because the coupon says "may not be combined with other offers". I said all coupons say that, but Target's rule is 1 Target coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. She again said we can't take it. I didn't say another word and just walked out.

I had no problems using both $5 off coupons at the second Target store on my daily path. As mentioned before, the Target Disney coupon required an override, but since this was a nice cashier, she did it on her own. By the time I was there around 10 AM, each store only had about 3 Tangled 3D BDs left. For fun I asked an employee to scan it to confirm they had none in the back. While not as bad as Nausicaa's 4 copies per store on release day, they didn't get very many. If you aren't at Target by 10 AM on Tuesday morning you risk not getting a Disney BD combo pack or 3D release due to lean inventory at most B&M stores. Lean inventory translated means we're pinching pennies so much we'd rather have you leave the store angry than buy additional inventory. Maybe once they buy it they can't return it to the vendor? I always thought they could.

Actually you could use the Disney coupon on the 2-Disc. Mine scanned without any problem. The cashier didn't have to do any override. (I wrote this on the other thread)
I didn't want to get into too much hassle with the Target $5 one since lot of people have to ask to override it.(I don't have a great track record of cashier doing this for me ) Plus the 3-D cover made my eyes hurt, and I liked the embossed 2-D cover better So for the same price of $15, with less hassle - I went for the 2-D version.

I think I just have a problem with using a Target store coupon that explicitly states that it's only for a blu-ray $24.99 and over since they can't recoup any money from that coupon. Disney refunds them for all of the disney coupons but target can't refund themselves. Do you see where I'm coming from?

I think one of the big things is that 3d blu-rays just don't sell well. I saw a big stack of the Alice in Wonderland 3D blu-rays on the back wall selling for 37.99 and figured those'll just sit there for years.

Just to clarify, I believe you're talking about the Johnny Depp Alice in Wonderland because the animated one never was released in 3D. It might be the last Disney release I can remember where stores got too much inventory and there were stacks sitting around for weeks. That might have been the one they learned their lesson on and went to the other extreme of only carrying a small amount of 3D BDs. However, Alice in Wonderland (Johnny Depp version) was also one of my least favorite "Disney" movies in a long time and I can see why it didn't sell well. Movies like Tangled shouldn't be relegated to so few copies just because Alice in Wonderland (Johnny Depp version) did poorly. Why can't they use box office results to judge how many to get in stock and then have a percentage of those be 3D?

Well, normally I'd agree that 3D versions aren't worth the extra premium (unless you have a 3D TV), but lately (as in Tangled 3D) and next week in Tron 3D, I believe the premium for the 3D version is only $5 more and to me that's do-able if there are decent discounts/coupons because someday I'll probably get a 3D TV.
