Free would have been nice. I only upgraded when I got 1 and 2 for $7 plus shipping at gohastings.com, or $4.64 each. That's about what they're worth, the guilty pleasures that they are.

Tempting. However, I still can't get past the packaging. I love the movies, but wish they would just put this in a 4-disc blu-ray case. Oyie, I do hate the gimmick boxes most of the time.

You can just get a four-disc case and print out some cover art. That's what I did, there is a pretty nice cover for it floating around

The TMNT 4-disc BD set was $17 at Barnes & Noble.com in November 2010, and some people were lucky enough to actually receive it. However, most orders for it (like mine) were canceled when B&N discovered the price "error". Knowing some people got it for $17 makes it tough for my OCD to let me pay more for it now. Besides, I've only seen 1 movie out of the 4, so $17 is about the most I'd pay for it. I think BD prices will keep dropping, so I say wait unless you want to watch these now.

Used, I assume? I know Hastings used prices are good, but I've never seen the Transformers BDs going for that cheap before. Usually it's just mediocre flops like the Prom Night remake being sold for under $5.

I had my order placed and they cancelled it, but it was still on the site for that price, so I ordered again.

They actually shipped the second order. bn.com is weird.

I also got the Austin Powers set for something like 8 or 9 bucks at this time.

Yeah, it was used. It was that buy 3 for $21 deal they had several weeks back. They've only had that kind of sale twice ever, as far as I know, and this recent one was the only time I actually got something from it (i.e. everything wasn't already sold out).

^ Ah, I get it. It was the double feature, not the individual releases. Unfortunately, their used inventory was heavily picked over by the time I noticed the 3 for $21 sale.

Silence of the Lambs BD was $5 at Walmart last BF, and last week it was $5 at Walmart.com with in-store-pickup. How does that BSG quote go: "everything that has happened has happened before and will happen again"? Something like that. Just keep your eyes out for it and be quicker next time it's $5.
