Only items marked with the free shipping symbol. I bought a few other items with it to hit $50 to get free shipping. Plus there is a coupon for $50+ which is: UZXPI33P
It is supposed to be 10% off, but my total was $52 and I got $5.40 off. I used a red card which should give 5% off, so my discount should have been $7.80--apparently something didn't get discounted.

Beyond ridiculous. Bought the three movies at amazon for $7.99 each and thought that was great. Tempted to order another set, but what would I do with two sets? I'm the only family member with a BD player who likes these movies. The print ad does indeed show the box set next to the $7.99 price, so if any orders don't get shipped, or if the stores balk on Friday about selling them for that price, people have reason to complain. But yeah, somebody goofed big time on this one.

Wow can't believe they actually honored it. I somehow have managed to never see any of them but for this price its an easy blind buy.

But these aren't just the features like Amazon had, right? These are the features, bonus material and digital copies, at least that's what Amazon is showing that set to be.

As far as I know the set has the same extras as the individual movies, which is the bonus discs from the original DVD releases. The only difference is the set comes with digital copies.

I could be wrong, but I think only early pressings of the set came with DCs. The description on the Target site says six discs, so my guess is DCs are not included, and that the content is identical to the three separate releases.

I'm not even a fan of these movies, but I can't pass on such a huge deal. I have some friends and family that would probably like watching it on my Blu-ray player anyway.

Purchased some other BF deals and they're already scheduled to ship. This set, however, is not. Don't like that at all.

Thanks. I don't feel bad not knowing about the 10% off coupon when I placed the order considering I couldn't have used it since my order total was about $16 before shipping instead of $50+.

I also see that Slickdeals already has a mega-thread on the LOTR trilogy deal at Target (over 40 pages I think with most of them saying "in 4 1" or "in 4 100" type of stuff). Anyway, if even a fraction of the SD posts are accurate, Target is going to be overwhelmed with orders and either delay them until they can be fulfilled, cancel all of the > quantity 1 orders, or maybe just cancel most of them. If everyone just got 1, things would probably be OK, but there seems to be a large group of people on SD that I call the "flippers" who buy lots of anything that's cheap, turn around and trade it back to Amazon or put it on eBay or Craigslist to make a small profit, thereby driving down the prices in the used market and overwhelming whichever store is selling them with large orders.

So the real question is, if I go to Wal-Mart with the Target Ad and the Target Memo, will they actually price match the set?

Seriously though, hats off to Target honoring their mistake when they didn't really have to.
