Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

Was able to snag TMNT... shame I didn't get austin powers for that price though.

I guess the B&M stores don't price match online prices, do they?

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

I'm crossing my fingers that the Batman set comes back, but don't have much hope.

I did find a good deal on Lost in Space Season 1 (DVD) for $13 though. (all the subsequent sets of that and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea are$9.89 each).

Wanted Austin Powers. Oh well.

Grabbed GWTW Scarlett Edition for $13.xx including tax. Couldn't get any of the coupons to work, even though I am a member.

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

Thanks OP!

Had Life and GWTW already, but the Ocean's Trilogy was a great deal. After tax, and all discounts, $15 for the set is fine with me.

That's Entertainment went out of stock right when I was checking out. Sucks as that would have been the perfect x-mas gift for my dad.

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

Thank you for the heads-up on the That's Entertainment box, I got it for six dollars and change-- this has to be bar-none the best Blu-ray deal I've ever seen. Amazing!

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

I was able to get GWTW and That's Entertainment. I also used my 10% off AAA discount which saved me a couple of bucks. Fantastic sale. I'll keep my fingers crossed that Batman comes back on sale.

Thanks OP.

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

Ordered:

That's Entertainment!
TMNT Box set (too excited about this, loved these as a kid)
Gone With the Wind ($13 bucks was expensive compared to the other deals but I convinced myself)

Wish I was able to get Batman

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

I used the AAA link to get the Gone With the Wind Scarlett Edition set for $12.43 incl CA tax. Too bad the 15% off coupons are disabled for this set, but not for the other in this sale. Weird.

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

I ordered Batman and Austin Powers this morning at 9AM, (The website said shipped withen 24hrs). Now I just got an email that said it was expected to ship on Dec 13th! Not a big deal for the price, but I hope that isn't a bad sign.

Same here. I'm up every morning very early for work, except on the weekends which is when the really good deals seem to hit, but on those weekends I get up really early to check (because that's when the deals seem to happen) there's nothing.

So I missed everything except GWTW (I already have Ocean's from DVD2BLU long ago and paid nearly $30 for Life when it was released so this again reinforces why I shouldn't cave in and pay too much for anything).

I placed an order (as a non-member) for GWTW but the A9N8U4H code in the other thread kept disappearing and I only got 5% + free shipping. I wasn't going to order it since I already have the unopened single disc BD of GWTW, but I'm hoping since Christmas time is near that I'll be able to get some store credit for the other one (but maybe nobody will accept it since it has a "Target Exclusive Edition" sticker and UPC on it). The Scarlett edition is just the 70th UCE BD minus the CD and non-disc stuff, and the 70th UCE is just the 4 disc CE DVD with 3 new extras. (Reviews on Amazon are worthless because Amazon mixes all the different editions together.) That 1 sentence summarizes what it took me almost 30 minutes to dig out of reviews Google. Too bad most reviews can't be bothered to compare to previous editions.

I also skipped That's Entertainment (even at ~$7) because I already have the HD-DVDs (unopened) which I'll probably never have time to watch and have a $0 trade-in value everywhere. I've never seen any TMNT movies, so I'll pass (~$18 is too much for a blind buy). The ones I'm bummed about are Batman Anthology and Austin Powers. At those prices those would've been nice upgrades. Worse yet, I'm going to be hard pressed paying more on these sets in the future if they ever go on sale again.

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

Thanks for the notice on the That's Entertainment restock! Just grabbed it too!

Now if only the Austin Powers set will go back in stock. I'd finally feel like it was worth getting at that price.

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

I picked up the That's Entertainment set for $6.68 shipped.
Everything else, I either already have, or don't want.

Re: Crazy box set deals at bn.com

That's Entertainment for ~6.50 shipped. Been wanting Batman for along time, but will keep checking. Passed on TNMT b/c I got it at the WBShop.com sale a couple of years ago. Would have gotten Austin Powers, but I'm not crazy about those movies anyway.

I did notice they would allow me to reserve a copy of Batman Anthology Blu-ray at my local B&N for only 129.99. How kind!
