I don't understand why the price for Dazed & Confused isn't any lower during the Lightning Deal. It's been $9.99 for the past few days.

Only one BD tomorrow? I am tempted to get Dazed & Confused though.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Sales Start Monday, November 22nd

Well, today was like mini-Christmas. Received today from amazon:

Batman Begins/Dark Knight lightning deals ordered yesterday morning
Gourmet magazine cookbook lightning deal for my wife, ordered Thursday;

from Disneystore.com:

Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 BD set;

and from reward headquarters, $75 in amazon.com Visa reward certificates, so I can go back on amazon and order more cheap BDs, and not spend more out of pocket.

A good day!

Does anyone know how the hi-def image quality of the only HD release (HD-DVD from Universal) compare to the Criterion SD version? I know the Criterion has more supplements, but I hate to buy a sub par image if a Universal blu-ray with solid video/audio quality is on the horizon.

Was that for spending $3,600 for their Oct-Dec special offer? I might get there, it'll be close. I'll definitely get $25 in Dec though...

I don't get it - Amazon already has the Criterion Dazed and Confused for $9.99.

Me, too, but I'll still go for a $10 "Shutter Island", too.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so. We paid off a balance on an upcoming Disney cruise, which was over $3000.00 alone. That plus the fact I had leftover points from a previous redemption, plus the fact that we pay almost all of our bills on it, added up.

We put every possible bill and expense on our amazon Visa, even our property taxes (even though we know we'll be paying it off in one fell swoop) just to get the credits. I get at least $25 back every month, often more. In the middle of 2009, I actually maxed out my point allotment for the year, so I had to start paying bills on my wife's account to start earning points again!

I feel the same way regarding Road To Perdition. I know it's only been out on Blu-ray for a few months, but it's a catalog title & it hasn't dipped below $20.99 yet. (Meanwhile, there have been brand new releases selling for $8-10 this week!)

This has been a mystery since the price was announced. If people want it, why bother waiting for the lightning deal (unless they're hoping the deal price is in error)?

Yeah what is the deal with this title? I've been wanting it for a long time but really don't want to pay the $30 price tag.

Anyways I cancelled my order with Deep Discount for Season 2 of Breaking Bad and decided to just get it from Amazon instead. I wouldn't have minded waiting but I see no point when its been over a month and I can get it from Amazon in a couple days. The only other thing I'm interested in ordering is Shutter Island depending on what the price is then I should be done with the Black Friday madness .

Zodiac actually has a great HD DVD version if you can play it. Only 4.99 plus ship in amzn marketplace.

I'd gladly swap my HD copy for a BD copy. However, I'm not paying more than a bargain price to sidegrade.

I pulled the trigger on Zodiac 2 days ago, I just do not think that it will drop below $30 anytime soon

Damn, I didn't notice the Prisoner DVD set in lightning deals until just now, I hope I can get it off the waitlist.

Biggest benefit of the complete series box set: all are single sided discs, and MUCH less error prone than those earlier Universal DVD-18s....

I also already have the individual season releases, but happily repurchased this complete series set today for the single sided disc upgrade....after I trade in (or sell off) my season sets, the $20 net cost will be totally worth it IMO....

Wait for a good price and get it on BD. I have it and it is well worth it if you can get it for 30-40 bucks.

they only priced matched during the lighting deal right? i need to grab season 3, 12, and 20 - but missed out on the lighting deal and our Target was sold out.
