I received my last order today. I just sent the discs in on Dec. 20, so two weeks and one day with two holidays mixed in there. Pretty good service!

Re: $4.95 Blu Rays at DVD2Blu
This is definitely a good deal but I'm out of titles I feel like upgrading at their current prices. (These are mostly DVD to BD upgrades not outright first time purchases for me.) I'm about ready to send my order off finally (maybe this Friday). Given that others recommended I don't send in 10 copies of the Best Buy 300 Promo disc but only 1, that means I've had to dig out 9 other things and it turns out I don't have that much pure crap. I do have some Alpha Video sets of crap movies that someone gave me, so I guess I'll use those. Some of them are multi-discs, but from what I read I can only send in the first disc. It basically means I'll have to send in a few non-crap discs and deciding which ones to part with takes time.
One thing I don't remember discussed in this thread is whether you can send in ones that have scribbling on them (from Hollywood Video) or even rental stickers. I'd guess the scribbing is OK but rental stickers no.

They're not going to sort through people's sets and disqualify titles unless they break the explicit rule: NO PORN! I think the main reason they offer this program is to get people into WB blu-rays, and maybe to clear out some underselling, overproduced stock. I'd be shocked if they were really picky about ANY title, unless it seemed like a flagrant cheat. As I said before, I sent in HD/DVD flippers and promo discs, or discs that were beat to hell (that were ex-rentals, but didn't say ex-rental). In other words, I don't think they're going to not give you a title because you have scribbles or rental stickers.

I don't remember reading any stories of people getting denied, so I don't even know what the procedure is for that and if you lose the entire order or just part of it.

Re: $4.95 Blu Rays at DVD2Blu
Sent out out the Monday after Christmas and received my package today! Did NOT receive any type of email recognition that my discs were received or that my order was shipped so an incredibly surprising arrival home tonight
PS - Of my 7 I sent in, 3 were digital copies...
EDIT: Just noticed my Pan's Labyrinth case is busted. Luckily, I work in a used video store where replacements are free to employees

Stop tempting me to do that! :-) When people post success, that makes me want to try. I have loads of digital copies I don't want and will never use, but I'm struggling to find a few more crap movie discs (I'm going to have to part with a few things that aren't crap) since some recommended playing it safer by not sending in more than 1 copy of the same thing and not risking digital copies. And I've already looked at Dollar Tree for cheap $1 movies, and it's all PD junk I've never heard of, but given what people say I guess those should work too. I'd just rather use what I already have than have to buy $1 junk movies. What kills me is that it's all a crapshoot, and I can't decide if I should play it safe or go super risky.

Edit: 3 of the 11 discs I ordered had cracked cases. They were very poorly packaged. All 11 were stuffed in a lightly padded envelope and the UPS guy tossed it on my porch like it was the newspaper. Also weird how every UPS package I get has these black skid marks all over it. Oh well, still a great deal. Cases are just cases.

I previously posted re: success in sending them absolute crap, including digital copies and "mystery" discs without a label. I firmly believe they do not care what you send (so long as it's not obvious pr0n). I think you are safe in sending all digital copies. Even if you are denied, what are you out? They give you a prepaid postage label and they don't charge until they ship.

My order was shipped in a sturdy UPS box with wadded up paper to keep things from rattling around. Nine titles toal - and I still received two with broken cases. The box was a little beat up, but not really crushed. Makes me think these were busted from the warehouse.

Sumdeus, that picture was exactly what I was thinking about... Ace Ventura delivered it. All right, after ResIspa's and previous comments, I'm going to risk it... I'll be sending in a mixture of digital copies, promo discs, and PD stuff.

Have you found out if they were accepted or not. I'm thinking on trying some digital copies and Disc 2's I have. A friend gave me around 10 Disc 2's that he didn't need as he sent in Disc 1, so I'm not out anything but I'd like to know for sure.

Re: $4.95 Blu Rays at DVD2Blu
are most people getting cracked cases and what titles are damaged?
I ordered in mid-Nov and never sent in my discs. I re-did it last Sunday with one extra BR and will probably send it in early next week. Just a little wary because so many seem to be reporting cracked / damaged cases and discs --- and it's not so easy to replace cases for BR sets.

Now if only red2blu would have a free shipping promo I would be all set. I know they had one last year, but I missed that one. Any chance they'll have another one?

Agreed. I'd like to upgrade my Matrix and Oceans Trilogy.
My first dvd2blu order took about a month and a half, over the holidays, and I'm sure at least 1 of the 8 in my order were on back order. My second order looks to be only taking 2 weeks as my card was charged today, and tracking shows they got the dvds I sent last Friday. probably do 1 more order.
Really glad Warner offered this.

Ordered in late November, got the Blus about two weeks ago. Arrived in a rather large padded envelope, everything seems to be fine. Great deal!
Funny how the site says "This offer may be withdrawn at any time," as I placed my order on the supposed last day of promotion. Just might have to order another batch!

I've ordered 27 total and I think 13 of them ended up being Disc 2, 4 Digital copies, and a karaoke DVD. I only sent 8 movies and they were ones I'd upgraded to a special edition and had no luck selling the old copy. May try this again after all these come in They are still a few on the list I'd like to have. These 4 orders + 1 other has made a total of 30 from them so far.
I wish they'd add some different titles.

I just got my last order of 8 movies. As expected, the accepted the junk I sent them, although I ended up not sending them any digital copies or discs 2's... just junk movies or promo discs. It came in a padded envelopes with many holes in it, but thankfully all of the BDs were fine inside.
It's definitely too bad their selection never grows (I think it has been the same for almost a year) making me think this is just an overstock clearance sale rather than a serious program to help people upgrade any Warner DVD to BD. There's really nothing else I want except possibly Supernatural S1, S3, and S4 on BD. For some strange reason S2 isn't on BD. I've never seen a single episode, but I've read reviews they were good and along the lines of X-Files and Kolchak. Hopefully they don't have a lot of shakycam and fast cuts which annoy me beyond belief. I remember at one point Battlestar Galactica started doing a lot of shakycam and spin-the-camera-quickly instead of doing a cut, and since I was watching alone I found myself frequently cussing the director out loud wondering how so many talentless people like that get into Hollywood (obviously via friends). Fortunately most episodes weren't that way, but it really ruins things for me. Since I hate reality TV shows and they are always use shakycam style, the moment I see the word "reality series" I instantly stop reading the review and mark it as a "never buy".
Anyone care to comment to help me make up my mind on Supernatural?
What got me thinking about this is I got S1 and S2 DVDs for $12.99 each at Walmart on BF in my "grab first, return later" mode, and I read that S1 only has DD2.0 but the BD has DD5.1 for only $7 more (if I buy enough at DVD2BLU for free shipping). I guess I'd have to keep S2 on DVD. I still have a few more weeks to order from DVD2BLU and return the Walmart one.

All the BDs have DD5.1 audio (though higher quality over the DD5.1 on DVD). S1 on DVD had 2.0, the BD has 5.1.
The first Season is a bit tough to get through. Well, the first 6-10 episodes. After that, it really kicks into gear.
