Is Amazon price matching these titles? I looked at a few and they are still priced higher. Do you have to e-mail amazon when placing the order?

They don't do any price matching upon request. Their policy is that they are always looking to match competitors on their own, but they basically make the final decision and either do it as the actual price on their website or not at all (in other words, they don't do one-offs for people that e-mail them). I'm hoping they match Trick 'r Treat (which they just dropped to $9.49) and Sleepy Hollow (which is unavailable for store pick-up everywhere on BestBuy.com?).

EDIT: They've dropped Sleepy Hollow to $11.99. *sigh* just match the $9.99 already.

Re: $7.99 Blu-Ray at bestbuy.com

Trick R' Treat is basically a Creepshow clone. It's a movie directed EXACTLY to the fans, in a quasi-anthology point of view.

It's a FANTASTIC film to watch around Halloween time. It's not a classic, but it's a damn fun movie to watch.

If you're a genre fan, I'd definitely recommend it. If horror is only a passing interest, I don't know if investing your money into it is worth it unless you liked the "Creepshow" type of film, which it basically is, just updated with semi-connected storylines.

It's light-hearted, gory fun.

Not sure if you need to do in store pick-up. At mine it rang up at $7.99.

And if it doesn't, just have them look it up. They will price match their own website, I've done it that way several times rather than doing the in-store pick-up (depending on the product, I like picking it out anyway).

Re: $7.99 Blu-Ray at bestbuy.com

I went last night, and couldn't find any of the $7.99. I started to leave, and saw a huge display of them in a roped off area. How moronic. Do they want to sell the stuff or not? I could have flagged down a CSR, but at that point, I lost interest.

Apparently, these titles are slow sellers, and bound to drop even more in price. I am willing to bet we will see a Walmart $5 blu bin by year's end with these exact titles.

I picked up Haute Tension and Hard Candy, although the cover art for Hard Candy is so unrecognizable from the one-sheet I know and love that it took me forever to find it.

Re: $7.99 Blu-Ray at bestbuy.com

Best Buy in El Segundo had them right out front when you walk in. Big table set up with all the releases, High Tension wouldn't scan but the girl just typed it in and the correct price came up. No problems. I know there's a couple people on here in that area.

Re: $7.99 Blu-Ray at bestbuy.com

I picked up High Tension today (along with Anchorman) and it wouldn't scan at the register so the cashier had to manually punch in the price. It was really the only Lion's Gate BD I was interested in out of this batch.

Except Creepshow totally blows goats and Trick r' Treat is a neat little Halloween flick. I rewatched Creepshow last year around Halloween and my g/f fell asleep and I was wondering what was wrong with me when I was 15 years old that made me think it was good.

Warner Bros. totally dicked Tr'T around, letting it rot on the shelf for two Halloweens before unceremoniously dumping it onto video in time for a third season; all the while pinching off new Saw installments for the theaters. What about people who refuse to support "torture porn" films like Saw or Hostel who would gladly slap down the jack for movies like Feast (the first one, not the crap sequels) or Tr'T?

I'd downloaded Tr'T, but when it came up on Amazon for $10 on BD, I called my g/f and asked if we should get it and her instant reply was, "Oh, hell yeah!" It's almost impossible to buy a single evening-price movie ticket for $8 these days, so this shouldn't be considered much of a gamble.

The Saw franchise is from Lionsgate, not Warner... Unless you're talking about the system as a whole, but I thought I would mention that.

My thoughts EXACTLY! Not sure if this means in 15 years I'll find TrT boring
