HBO's Tales From the Crypt: Complete Season sets are down to $15.99 each.

That's the lowest I've seen them.

Re: Amazon.com Discounts and Deals on Blu-ray Part II

I received a rather random, but good, email from Amazon today.

The subject line read: "[my full name]: Save $8 on 'Toy Story 3'"
The body of the message read: "Dear Amazon.com Customer,

Customers who purchased kids and family movies might be interested in saving $8 on "Toy Story 3 Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack."

Use your code, XXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX, at checkout, and the discount(s) will apply. This code is valid for only one item and can be used only once. Offer ends on August 30, 2010. Restrictions apply; see below for details."

I tried it and it certainly worked for TS3 combo. Keep an eye out because I usually delete these without reading. Stacks with the other Disney pre-order deal mentioned in this forum.

I keep reading about this mysterious discount but haven't received my e-mail yet. Could it be because they ended up paying me $5 to order Up and Monsters, Inc?

I just picked up Chuck Season 2 for $28.49. That's the cheapest I've ever seen it.

I'm not even sure if I should mention this or not, but here I go. I saw your post last night about this and decided I'd email Amazon.com just for the heck of it to ask about it. I emailed them the quick following message:

You guys have been sending out $8 off codes for ordering Toy Story 3 if you have ordered family based items and movies in the past. I have ordered that sort of thing a number of times but I have yet to receive the email with the code. Is there anything you can do to make sure I get that $8 off code? It sure would help me a great deal. Please let me know soon, thanks!
Then this morning I wake up to this response:

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't receive $8 off codes yet.

I'd like to give you a $8.00 promotional certificate, which you can use the next time you order an item shipped and sold by Amazon.com. You'll see your available promotional balance at checkout--this amount will be applied to your next order automatically without entering a claim code. Your promotional balance doesn't appear in Your Account but will always display when you place an order.
Ummm, alrighty then.

Wow, I did the same and they took $8 off my order for.... It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 4. Gotta love Amazon's CS, the only business who still follows "the customer is always right" motto.
