That's also not taking into account a Lighting Deal Amazon did before for a lower price.

I knew it was only Amazon, but I thought blu-ray.com took lightning deals into account. If they don't, then the price tracker isn't very good at all...

In the comments section on Blu-ray.com, someone mentioned the lighting price as $42.95. I purchased it for $43.04 during the July '09 DD sale. In the case of the latter, it was already part of a pre-existing sale that overlapped with the 25% sale, which is why it was so cheap.

I'd just like to chime in that this was the same reaction I had to Sunshine as well. It started off with a story and direction that was just as enthralling as any Danny Boyle movie but the ending completely ruined it. Without explicitly ruining the film for those who haven't seen it let's just say it drastically shifts gears in an appalling and uninvolved fashion for it's conclusion.

Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd Out of Control $9.49 I believe this is a DTV movie, not the theatrical release:

Get Smart (2008) $11.99

Damn, this topic makes me spend so much money, but I love it for it. Picked up Sunshine, Prestige, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Return of the Living Dead. Can't be beat.

heh, I was just about to post about CTHD. Great price for that disc.

lizard 09-28-10 01:12 PM

^CTHD was available for $9.73 from the DD BOGOF sale a month ago, but $11.99 is a new low for Amazon.

I wonder if it might be an $8 to $10 Black Friday offering?

For those near Fry's, they have it for $9.99 right now. Noticed that when I went to go pick up Get Him to the Greek.

Hmm... I want this one but I have a feeling that it's destined to be $9.99 (or maybe $7.99) in the near future. oh, Amazon. With these frequent price changes, I feel like I'm placing bets in Vegas.

I am totally in "expectation of BF" mode. Many things I would normally bite on at $10 I am waiting to see if there is some crazy deal on BF.

Got mine from the sale on Saturday, so it was about 2+ weeks for me.

Heads up, it looks like Amazon is trying to pull a fast one on those of us who pre-ordered Rock and Rule for $10. It was supposed to be released yesterday but it's temporarily out of stock. I just got an email saying that they will automatically cancel my order if I didn't approve the new shipping estimate. Fucking lame.

Edit: According to Blu-ray.com, it has been pushed back to Oct. 26.

I got CTHD and three other BDs from DD two weeks ago. Never got a shipping notice, my card got charged and the BDs showed up in my mailbox. I think it may have to do with what other titles are in the order. I have another order that hasn't been charged or shipped yet, so far as I can tell.
