I still consider $10.99 to be "a $10 bargain", figuring in tax and what-not.

Why exactly don't we have two Amazon threads -- one for general deals, and one for stuff that's $10.99 and less?

I wish there was a place on amazon.com where we could look at Blu-Rays by price point.

I'm aware of the Under $10 filter, but it wouldn't harm anyone to have a dedicated discussion about new additions and old favorites that people have missed out on. Especially if non-Prime folk are looking for something to fill a gap to get over $25 for free shipping.

Whatever, just a curiosity. Continue on!

Matrix Ultimate Collection $45.99
I think this is the lowest this set has been, at least at Amazon anyway.

Frozen $9.99

lizard 10-04-10 12:03 PM

Probably still too high for the thread police here, but I'd like to point out a new low price at Amazon for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: $11.49

Yes, it may well be $10 or less on Black Friday, for those willing to wait.

Yeah, I'm noticing a few titles on my wishlist for $10.50-$11.49. I'm wondering if I should buy them now or hope the price is just as good/better come black friday. These prices seem to jump around a lot. :(

Whats the story behind Omen IV not being included?

They lowered the Karate Kid (2010) combo pack to $19.99 (same price as the single blu ray). Much lower than all the b&m ads I've seen + no tax & free shipping with prime mom.

I think Omen IV was made for TV and shot on video. So Fox probably decided to leave it out of the box since there would be little/no upgrade to it on Blu.

Edit: According to IMDb, it was shot 35 mm...Hmm...

It was probably edited on video and like most TV productions from the 80's and 90's which means there would be no way of getting a HD-quality print out of it unless they re-edited it digitally or on film.

On the other hand, they probably could have dumped the SD transfer onto one of the other discs without taking too much space or even included it on its own existing DVD in the package with the rest.

That new price drop on Frozen is very frustrating. I ordered it two days ago at the original price drop of $15.49 and it was delivered today. I talked to customer service and they refused to give me a price adjustment since it had already been delivered. :(

Yeah. They used to refund the difference within 30 days. Now they won't even do it for 30 hours after you buy. They just keep going downhill, as far as I'm concerned. A lot of people are suffering shipping issues as well.

I think it wasn't included because it was crap. Seriously. It doesn't mesh with the first 3 films which were all self-contained, widescreen theatrical releases...it was a lame TV movie of the week and I think most fans of the series hate it. Just as well it wasn't included IMO.

Agreed. It's baffling that they will match any price Best Buy has yet they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to price adjustment. Even Best Buy gives you 30 days after purchase to get the best price.

As for shipping, they have given the majority of their business to a terrible local carrier out in Southern CA. Despite the multiple packages they have lost in a row and all the threads of people bitching about them on Amazon, they still get Amazon's business. I guess that's what we have to put up with if we want to get decent prices online.
