Ok well I ordered on 08/05/10 and I received the movie sometime between the 23rd and today(26th) (I use a PO BOX).It has the UPC that is on their web site,is that how you can tell if it's the remastered version? BTW it is good condition.

I received mine today. It has a sticker that says All -New Digital Restoration and a number 8012430 at the bottom of the sticker. On the back cover on the lower right hand side it says in a box
"2010 Blu-Ray Release" .

finally got mine, it does have some wrinkly plastic so I'm debating on whether or not to go on a gun-toting rampage at DDD HQ.

It's not wrinkly plastic..
It's damage caused by storage in humid place. The artwork was clearly warped and sticking to the plastic.

Got mine yesterday. Case was wrinkly. I cried for a while. But I think I'm better.

It was the remastered edition. Another way to tell would be the black-bordered cover, no?

I'd just like my copy to get here, wrinkly or not.

Mine shipped August 16 and it just arrived here in CA. I know that's typical of DDD, but my stuff normally comes sooner. It arrived with the wrinkly case others have mentioned.

I sent back the damaged copies DD sent me, and today I received perfectly wrapped copies of Gangs of New York the remastered edition. They have restored my faith in them...

Now if I could only get shipping notification for the Blu-rays I ordered from the last BOGO sale 2 weeks ago... jk

Yes! The plastic was all "wrinkly."

Should I be worried that my copy shipped on Aug 24th and I haven't gotten the disc yet? I'm only 10 miles or so from the warehouse. The other two discs from the order (B1G1) never shipped and the account order history shows the entire order as "shipped".

It's not the plastic, really, Ally Kat's right on. It's the paper under the plastic. Humidity and /or heat causes it. It doesn't affect the disc, but it's a buggar to look at. I hate when get the wrinkly ones -- good for you Ally Kat, I may exchange next time. Expect more, pay less! (It's not just Target's slogan anymore.)
