I went with BB so I can actually see the set for myself rather than chancing it getting dinged during shipping. If I find the one at mine isn't up to snuff, I'll just reorder later today.

I put in a order late yesterday, and it is already shipping soon with an estimate arrival of 8/11. I was kind of figuring it was going to be a couple weeks before I received my copy based on the availability date on the order page.

Before placing my order at Amazon last week, I checked the set out at a Best Buy. My Best Buy had those individual security monitors on each set (the ones that work like a bow on a present), and they were all tightened to a point of indenting all of the edges of the sets.

People had been reporting good condition sets from Amazon, so figured I would take my chances there.

Strangely enough, mine had 3 sets, none had those security things on them...

Anyone who missed out, the series is back on sale, to match Best Buy's price, to $134.99.

I'm one of those few people who bought the "Complete" series with the Cylon packaging and without The Plan. I then sent away for the new packaging (which fortunately was free). Am I correct that if I buy The Plan, I will have exactly the same content as somebody who buys this latest packaging at Amazon or Best Buy for $132.99 or $134.99?

In other words, for the latest set, did they throw in any new bonus materials on the discs or is it really just new packaging + The Plan BD + the old BD discs?

No, AFAIK, if you get The Plan you will have the same content as the ones on sale now.

Indeed that is correct... the only addition is the movie The Plan and new packaging. But from what I hear, the old packaging was causing bad scratches on some of the discs so I guess you get the addition of pristine condition discs as well.
