Maybe it just me but I have a problem ordering from this site. Not the prices, those are fine. Its the shipping cost. They charge a $2.99 or #2.19 cost per title. This adds to the total and in most case I can buy it new from Target/BB for just a little (1/4.00) more.

The prices on their site fluctuate quite a bit, and as with any sales of this type, you always have to factor in shipping and possibly tax into the equation. Sometimes it still pays to do a deal, sometimes not.

I understand this, with prices at both Target & Bestbuy (not new titles, but ones that have been out 6 months or better) being on sale for $10 to $13 its hard to buy something like this. I'm not saying the prices are not bad, in most case like "The Watchmen" used at $9 that was great add on the $3 shipping making it $12. My local BB has it for $14 sure I am saving $2 add it up and it does come to alot, again add up the shipping cost of my one order $38. Not counted HWV free shipping I can go to Amazon.com and get them about the same new.

I am looking again at the site box sets/TV sets I am/would buy even with the shipping. If they had a flat rate I would have bought from them a long time again.

Thanks OP. Placed 4 orders. I was able to cross off some titles on my wish list. Not an amazing deal, but even after the high shipping, there are some good prices.

I called customer service and they were free to admit their system messed up, but they cannot fix it until the order ships next week. They offered to cancel it and do it over but alas.. 2 of the 3 items were already out of stock so that was definitely not something I wanted to do.

Hope it is easy to fix next week.

i don't really understand most of the complaints on pricing. There is plenty there at good prices even after the higher shipping. Yeah, higher shipping sucks but there are still lots of great deals to be had.

Some good deals to be had for sure, but I'll probably pass. I was spoiled by their earlier 40% off and lower shipping sale. Got some incredible deals then like Hangover for $6.xx and Inglorious Basterdsfor $7.xx.

Already received four of my six movies in the mail.

- "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3" (with Digital Copy disc and un-used code... which is a plus I suppose)
- "Casino"
- "Friday Night Lights"
- "A Time To Kill" (minus any sort of Digital Copy disc, even though I thought this came with one)

All like new aside from a couple of smudges on discs. Still waiting on "The Kingdom" and "Marley & Me," which I'm hoping will come with all three discs. *Crosses fingers*

It's hit and miss with combos, I ordered all these 3 used Blu-rays combos and got:
Race to Witch Mountain (combo)
Bedtime Stories (rental version but mint without combo)
Marley & Me (combo)
Also I guess you got the last A Time to Kill as mine was cancelled.

Well you got the good "Marley & Me" because I got a Blockbuster rental copy in a DVD case, even though I ordered "Used" instead of "Previously Viewed." Glad I opened this thread because that reminds me I have to call Hastings and bitch at them about this tomorrow.

don't forget what "used" and "pv" means to them. PV means that it was one of THEIR previously viewed copies. A "used" copy means someone just traded in a copy. so if that person traded in a rental copy from Blockbuster it's considered "used" but if it cames from a Hastings rental location it's "pre viewed"

I ordered 12 titles. Only 1 was out of stock (Towering Inferno). But I don't mind. That order turned into Buy 1 Get 1 For $1. Nice.

I had that happen too. It helped offset the disappointment that the one I wanted most was the one cancelled.

Their inventory might say that but what they send out can be the wrong "version".

I ordered a used Public Enemies and Hangover and they sent me their "rentals". I have no problem with Public Enemies because it has the same extras as the store version.

With Hangover, it's only the rated R version and no extras at all. It doesn't even have chapter selection. I contacted them about it and they said they can give me a refund but won't exchange it for the correct version.

Since Hangover was part of the buy 2 get 1 deal, will i get fully charged for the movie I got for $1 since I'm returning one movie?

Anybody have an experience returning a movie when it comes to these deals?

Not the same issue, but they canceled my $1 item. I called them and they immediately changed my next lowest item to $1 and credited me back like $15.40. So you may want to just call again and find out what they'd refund you.

I'm just saying it can be a crapshoot. For example if they sell one of their rental as PV'd and someone turns it back in as a trade in it's now categorized as "used" not pv'd. only stuff that gets sent directly from their rental selection to their sales selection is pv'd. Used can have a mixture of both.

Thanks! I gave them a call and they said they'd issue me a full refund for Hangover and charge me $1 for the second movie. Sounds good to me!

Be careful. They've had these sales before, they run out of stock, ship you the balance and you'll never get your free item and charge you the full shipping price. They didn't do any kind of refunds for me at all.

I'll keep that in mind. If I don't hear anything from them after 2 weeks, I'll contact them. If I don't hear back, time to call my CC.
