I was able to pick up a copy at Hastings, use the $10 coupon and get a $10 Hastings giftcard. Total w/tax $16.19 plus the $10 giftcard to use later. The checker had to do a "rain check" on the coupon as their system will not allow them to take coupons (?!?) but it worked. They would not let me do this again using the giftcard plus coupon to get another copy, which would have been sweet. I could use the giftcard but not another coupon. I was told they could get away with doing this once but it would be hard to explain for another. I may try tomorrow with another checker... or just go to K-Mart for the deal with the Barbie.

IF Best Buy fails me again like so many times in the past and I go with Amazon will the snowhite coupon work beyond the release day today? I would assume at least until Sunday, but I might be wrong.
Also, anyone know of a good filler item of $5.01 or more to get free shipping?

Um. Does anybody know why I'm seeing a $10 credit for "Snow White Thanks" checking out with Amazon? It wound up stacking with the $10 SNOWHITE coupon so the BR was apparently free.

The only thing I can think of is that I'd had the crazy collector's edition (the $149.99 one) on order a while back, but canceled it a week or two back when I wound up spending the money on a PS3 instead. I don't remember it saying anything about a $10 credit, and there's nothing on the page about it, but I'm kind of worried Amazon'll flag me as trying to scam them since I wound up paying $0 for the standard edition.

That's what they did for me as well, a $5 promotional GC. I have a ton of stuff preordered, so it wasn't a big deal to go that route instead.

Sometimes I just so mad at my local BB. They would not honor the $10 coupon from Disneymovierewards. I ended up cancelling my preorder and got my refund back. I reordered from Amazon instead.

Picked it up at BestBuy this morning - for anyone thinking of doing the same, prepare for a fight because they tried just about everything to get out of it. Took a total of ~25 minutes to get it.

Excuses they tried:

Cannot combine multiple offers (coupon is actually a coupon (that they get credited back for), not an offer). They even went on to say that the Pre-Order is considered a "special offer".
Cannot use coupons on sale items (same as above)
Cannot accept printed coupons (except theres no other way to get it)
Could not verify the validity of the coupon on the website.
The photo on the front shows the DVD+BD copy (but says BD+DVD in the text), and they claimed that each were completely different products (one a DVD, the other a Blu Ray)

They finally gave in and I ended up with Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and the $15 gift card. They denied me on the Snow White poster, but I wasn't going to fight them on that.

Price would've been about the same at Amazon ($30 + $25 -$10(coupon) -$15 (giftcard) + tax = ~$33 // $19.99 + $22.99 - $10.00 = ~$33), but I had already gone through the trouble of pre-ordering and getting the store at 10AM before work. Not really worth the fight.

I didn't preorder from TRU, but the supervisor told them somehow the system is glitched and gave everyone 5 dollar giftcard. So I paid 11.xx and walked out with Snow White blu ray and a $5 giftcard. Can't beat that price.

Same here, although like zdzjxh I just refunded my preorder and walked out. I can't remember the last time I did that, and I usually pretty patient. Definitely YMMV, and probably not worth the hassle with Amazon's ease of ordering and price. At least I got to keep the steelbook.

I got the same automatic $10 "Snow White Thanks" credit off an order for the Complete Ally McBeal series this morning. I had pre-ordered the regular Snow White BR and used the $10 off snowhite coupon on that. I have no idea where the extra $10 credit came from, but it was a pleasant surprise.

Did they let you keep the steelbook? If they just refund it, it's good, because amazon only need $9.99. Bestbuy $24.99-$10=$14.99+tax, not worth it.

BB did not mention the Steelbook case on the preorder refund. I did not mention it to them either. Mum is the word.

The back of the packaging for the steelbook had three sku's. One for the 2 bd/1 sd combo in a blu-ray case, one for the 1 sd / 2 bd combo in a dvd case and one sku for the steelbook only.

The Best Buy rep should have scanned the sku for the steelbook, in addition to their choice of combos, when you placed a preorder.

I received the automated refund from Amazon today.

I received a $5 refund today for the Pre-Order Price Guarantee... and yesterday I'd received a $5 refund, which I guess was processed differently.

So my copy of Snow White was $5.

lol... I just got another refund also. $5 for a new release 3 disc set?? I doubt this is the kind of pricing Disney had in mind when they were talking about Blu-rays being premium products.

I shopped at Culver City and the employee didn't do anything special. My purchase price rang up twice at 1.64 until the cashier called over their manager who told them that they forgot to charge me for a giftcard. So, I could have walked out only paying 6.64 (which included the initial $5 pre-order) if I had wanted to avoid paying $5 for a $5 giftcard. Since I shop there all the titme, I didn't think it was worth the effort. I did make them verify that the $5 was added to the card.

Toys R US today...............got last copy for $10 after $10 coupon and got some free SNOW WHITE baking set they were giving out with Princess collection purchase.

Well, what do you know, I got a $5 refund as well. $5 for Snow White BR is not too bad a deal. Thanks Amazon!
