Not sure about amazon, but Target had the Kill Bills for $14.99 each minus the infamous $5 off coupon around last Christmas.

Indeed it is.. from the blu-ray.com review of the remaster

The big question regarding this newly remastered release of The Fifth Element remains: is the picture quality an improvement over the previous, substandard release? Indeed it is; every problem present in the previous release has been corrected; the disc delivers a pristine image that pops off of the screen with amazing depth and stunning imagery. From start to finish, video quality remains consistent while featuring rock-solid black levels, outstanding fine detail and color fidelity that is lush and warm while still highlighting the film's unique visual style. Grain inherent in the theatrical presentation has been expertly reproduced, giving the movie a truly film-like image. From the opening scenes within an Egyptian tomb to the space battles and urban cityscapes, this transfer's meticulous attention to detail renders every scene flawlessly.

This is the best version on Blu-ray but regretably Columbia did not include any special features, so if you have the DVD special edition, I would hold on to it.

Use camelcamelcamel.com to check price histories at Amazon.

2 of the packs look temping.

Just a heads-up, these are all $20 @ walmart.

Are those 2-packs simply a shrinkwrapped bundle of the 2 separate releases? Or is it a new package with both discs?

Acording to blu-ray.com's Amazon price-tracking feature:

Kill Bill Vol. 1: $14.99 in early November 2009 and mid-December 2009.
Kill Bill Vol. 2: $14.99 at the end of July 2009, early November 2009 and mid-December 2009.

The Paramount ones I seen at Walmart and shrinkwrapped together with a slipcover over them.

If you have an FYE nearby you might check there. I found both Kill Bill 1 and 2 for 14.99 each. With a BSP and a coupon it will be even less.

Thanks guys for the extensive information on not only what the lowest price was, but how to find it!

I think I'll take my chances and just wait until Black Friday and hope for a sale, if it's still $14.99 after, I'll just buy it at that price.

I should have added I saw these prices this past weekend and when I checked today they still had them marked at 14.99.

FWIW, there is a new release of the 1995 P&P:
Pride and Prejudice (Restored Edition)
I'm unclear as to whether or not there is any significant difference between that one and the older one (I've got the first Blu-ray release and it is a HUGE improvement over the DVDs). I suspect that it is just a simple repackaging with the word "restored" to highlight that it is a big step up for owners of the DVDs.

Also, the MSRP of the newer set is $39.95 versus $49.95 for the older one, so it may eventually get a lower selling price; for now it is higher because it was just released.

On a completely different topic:
Léon: The Professional (Theatrical and Extended Edition) is back down to $13.49.

That's been $6.99 at least a couple weeks at Best Buy, not sure of the current in-store price.

Is there any advantage to pre-ordering the two-pack over getting the individual releases for the same price now?
