I'm going to try and ween myself off Amazon. I've had enough of their stock market approach to pricing. It's up it's down. I know others do it but they are the worst. I added Evil Dead II to my cart Thursday night or Friday morning when the price was 9.99. I didn't buy it then because I needed one more to meet the free shipping requirement and I was deciding between 2. So I logged in first thing Saturday morning to buy and the price had gone up to 14.49. I'm sick of it. They send me an email on Thursday about their 9.99 Blu-ray sale and the sales ends for some of the items by Saturday morning. Ridiculous. Yes, I know they've been this way forever but I'd rather shop at a place that doesn't punish me for taking a day to find more items. All that model does is encourage waiting for a better price or buying right away but buying fewer items because there's no time to browse. Vent over.

Did you not do the free Amazon Prime many others did? If so, there's no real reason to wait another day to purchase items, is there? Strike when the iron's hot.

Didn't see this on the last few pages, but Die Hard (the first, and best of them) is $9.99.

Now I know what we'll be watching Christmas Eve this year!

No offense just get Amazon Prime. Like somebody else said, strike when the iron's hot.

Prime would not have worked for me which is why I didn't use it. I would not have been home the day of delivery had I ordered on Thursday. In this case, I preferred the standard shipping.

I've never been to a Suncoast but I do have an FYE near my house and they have great deals on occasion.

Well, no one said good deals were good deals for everyone at any time. Too bad you couldn't get it, but it's not Amazon's fault, it's yours.

Even if you have prime, you don't have to select free 2-day shipping via UPS. You can select free 3-5 day shipping via USPS and not have to spend $25. I do that sometimes if I know I'm not going to be home when it would be delivered from UPS.

I just have stuff mailed to my work address, like I did with the Evil Dead and Die Hard purchases the other day. Not everyone can do that, of course, but it works for me.

Will probably be a while. There is an similar edition in the UK, but only the director's cut is on BD I believe, the other versions are still DVD.

Hellraiser is $8.99 now. Has it ever been this cheap before? I'm thinking about biting on it.

According to Blu-ray.com's Amazon price history feature, Hellraiser was $6.99 just a few months ago:
