Does anyone happen to have a link for the "green friendly case" they're using for the $10 blu-rays? I've never owned one yet and not sure what to think of them. Thanks.

It sounds like it doesn't matter now (since Target has dropped their prices), but I was going to say that Walmart has these in their ad this week, but it makes no reference to the gift-wrapped editions. It simply shows The Blind Side, The Hangover, Sherlock Holmes, 300, and Terminator: Salvation Blu-Rays for $10 each. I was going to say "Happy Price Matching" ...

Which ad was that? The Walmart ad in the store? I didn't get a Walmart ad in the Sunday paper. What makes me mad is that I was at Target yesterday with a $10 gift card and saw Sherlock Holmes BD on the shelf, but I believed the $15 price tag and walked on by. Though once in a while Target's tags are wrong, most of the time they are right and I get tired of dragging the stuff halfway across the store to the nearest scanner (nowhere near electronics) and then feeling like if I abandon them next to the scanner the gestappo watching on the camera above will come out and harass me.

I'd just pick it up at Walmart but my Walmart only has the 1 disc eco versions, and my Target will be out of Sherlock Holmes normal BDs soon. Guess I'll be forced to go back to Target this morning.

My Target had a few Sherlock Holmes BDs for $10, but only 1 of them had the slipcover which had a combo pack sticker on it. When I slid it out of the slipcover, it was identical to the other ones on the shelves without slipcover. The BD case makes no mention of the DVD or digital copy. I then checked Amazon to see the only Sherlock Holmes BD is a 1 disc version with the same UPC. I next checked DVD Empire to see that their back cover scan is of the slipcase and not the BD case itself.

So, how do I know if I got a Sherlock Holmes with BD+DVD+DC by looking at the BD case itself? How do I know Target didn't put a 1-BD version in the combo pack slipcover, or are they all (except for Walmart's weird gift-wrapped one) combo packs in spite of the BD case not saying so?

The UPC on the one I got is 8 8392908699 3. If that's not the right one that my Target is selling, what B&M stores carry the combo pack version? My Walmart and Target definitely don't.

By the slipcover.

Warner uses the same UPC because they only put out the BD+DVD+DC combo packs in the title's first (and second) printings. Everything else is the BD only.

I assume it came in the paper ... it's possible my wife may have picked it up in store. Sorry I'm not sure ...

On the cover are Xbox 360 games for $49.96 (most prominent are Madden and Halo Reach). Prices are good from Sunday 12/12 to Saturday 12/18.

Stopped by the Stafford, TX store tonight and found a stray BD Gran Torino for $5 left over from BF. It had a special white/yellow sticker with UPC#88392917569 and $5.00 price displayed on the front. In the back, another UPC sticker with similar number covered the original UPC.

I stopped into my Target today for the first time in weeks and all they had was the combo pack for $10, there was about 8 of them. I grabbed one, though I'm a little wary of whether or not I'll like it!

There is always a huge pile of random stuff underneath the scanners at one of the Targets that I go to. To the point where you usually have to kick a good amount of stuff out of the way to actually get down the aisle adjacent to the scanner. You would think they would get tired of picking up cartfuls of overpriced merchandise day after day and install more scanners.

^Or, with the way most corporations seem to be run, remove all the scanners.

I remember the good old days when you could walk into a store and all of the merchandise would actually be priced.

I was shocked to see Gran Torino and Departed on the shelf for $5 so I picked them both up for gifts. There were none to be found on Black Friday. I suppose some people changed their minds at the checkout or returned them...

I've been keeping my eyes open for them but so far had no luck which could be that my local doesn't have them, or the fact they have a piss-poor set up that includes just mixing all the blu rays in with DVD's except for the end caps and the one display set up. But they have plenty of other blu rays mingled in with other dvd's that it astounds me how they can keep track of it all.

I'll try to take a picture, but my Walmart added and end cap of $8.00 Blurays. A few interesting titles, if you don't already have them in DVD. But nothing I'd get to excited about.

I remember seeing Farris Bueller's Day Off and a few movies like that. I'll get a pic next time I'm there.

Was tempted to get the Hellboy Animated double feature Blu but the disc didn't say if it carries over all the extras like the commentaries. Anyone know?

Hmm. There are some good titles on that $8 list, including one of my "guilty pleasure" movies. Of course I already have the ones I want.

Probably the Thomas Jane one. The Lundgren version isn't out on Blu-Ray.
