Were those the only 3 Criterions? Really bummed that I missed The New World. $19.99 was an awesome price for that one.

yes, those were the only titles in that store. Will check out a couple more this weekend. Pretty sure that batch including 'The New World' is a done deal as it was a while ago

I'm holding out hope since I know I've seen the unsold stock from months past show up again when new batches are put out. A few months ago there had to be at least 15 different titles between the four boxes. I think that was right before The New World was released.

Costco tends to carry at least five different Criterion titles when they do carry them. I'd wait for reports from other locations.

At my Costco, they had PAN'S LABYRINTH, BLOOD SIMPLE, and BOYHOOD. But no McCABE. That was earlier this week.

Re: Costco discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I never saw any of the Criterions at the Costcos near me.

I did see a few Disney films for $11.99 each. Things like Mary Poppins, Hercules, Mulan double feature. Nightmare Before Christmas , Maleficent and others.

Mine had the big box Wizard of Oz 75th Anniversary Limited Collector's Edition in 3D set for $50. Not really a bargain but surprised they had it. There were about 10 of them so it most likely was not someone's return.

Re: Costco discounts and deals on Blu-ray

I do not know if some would consider this a bargain, and I should have posted earlier in the week (I almost always forget about the Costco bargain thread), but the Rodgers & Hammerstein Collection blu ray set was 39.95 at the Topanga Canyon mall Costco when I was there with my parents this past Sunday. I thought it was a good price and at the time amazon had it for at least $5 more. They had multiple copies, so there is always the slim chance some are still available.

Criterion released Mulholland Falls? Is this a new disc for them?

My bad, Mulholland Drive is what I meant. Thanks for the correction, hariseldon. And I agree with your assessment of Mulholland Falls - dont have Kino's blu but the MGM DVD is very good as well

I think it's also Being There rather than Be There. Great price on His Girl Friday. Heading there this weekend and hopefully I can snag Friday.

It was a bit of a treasure hunt for me to find a Costco that was stocking these Criterions. In SoCa I did find them at the Costco at 2700 Park Ave Tustin, Ca.

Re: Costco discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Sadly, my local COSTCO (Rochester, MN) doesn't stock the Criterions--apparently, not all the stores carry these!
