I think they are price matching a previous mistake price at Best Buy. Anyhow, it is $23.95 CAD. Unfortunately, there is no free shipping to the US, so you will have to add $9.98 CAD for the cheapest shipping. However, even with that, at today's exchange rate the total will be $30.30 USD shipped. This is about $5 cheaper than the DDD after discount price if their current price stays the same.

The picture on the Amazon.ca site doesn't show a bi-lingual cover (sometimes happens ordering from Canada), but I suppose we won't know until they ship.

I would expect it to the be exact same, with at most a bi-lingual cover if anything. Normally studios make 1 version for our region, but there are occasionally one-offs.

I know a lot of people bought Firefly BLU from Amazon.ca because they had a similar good sale in the past, maybe one of them can comment.........

Yes, the Firefly outer package is bilingual, but it's pretty non-intrusive. On the front cover, there's a tiny "Version Francaise Incluse" under the title along with "La Serie Complete" at the bottom. The rear cover has a description of the series in english and french. The discs are only printed in english, as is the Episode Guide insert.

What about the spine? Is that French as well?

On the spine, the Firefly logo has a (nearly illegible) "Version Francaise Incluse" under it but "The Complete Series" is over top of "La Serie Complete" in equal sized fonts.

Kinda worried on this one now. Either Amazon.ca severely underestimated how many orders they'd get for this or they're well on their way to canceling orders. I got a notice that it wouldn't be shipped until August 21, almost a full month away. Usually when this happens, my order gets canned a week or so later, so just a heads up to everyone who got in on this.

I had ordered two copies, along with 2 other canada only releases. Mine shipped yesterday at 3:50pm and just arrive here less than 24 hours later! When it shipped, the web site still said 1-4 weeks and one of the other items I ordered (Corner Gas) said Temporarily Unavailable, but it all still shipped.

Strange packaging--instead of a slipcover, it looks like just a cardboard version of the same cover glued to the outside plastic--not sure why. Does the US release have the same thing, a slip cover or nothing?
