No. But you could theoretically pick some nice special edition DVD's with good re-sale value which would further lower the cost of your Blu-rays. Or you could join the TV Club and pick two TV sets (surely you still buy TV on DVD). Either way, the deal is absolutely worth it. It's not like joining and choosing enrollment titles really costs much.

If I join the TV club can I still buy individual movies, or will I only be offered TV shows?

The entire club is at your disposal. As I mentioned in my previous post, I fulfilled my TV account with 4 Blu-ray movies(2 paid, 2 freebies).

Well, I went ahead and did it with a few titles I know I'll watch now, even if they end up being released on Blu-ray later. Now am I going to have to opt out of them sending me movies every month?

Hmm... not sure. I don't think so. I believe there's a way to turn that off. Otherwise, I opt out every month and just forget. It's not hard to do at all. You just click a link to say 'No' (ala BMG Music Club... *sniff*).

Placed one small order with Columbia House for B1G1. I could have gone to town, but I have a huge backlog already. With these deals popping up every couple of months, I'll just wait for next time around for anything else I want.

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

I took advantage of the B1G1 with the free shipping code. I ordered 20 titles, but I was still charged a $2.99 shipping/processing fee. For 20 titles, I'm not really complaining, but was anyone else charged this? Also, before I ordered these titles, I still had to fulfill my commitment and buy 2 titles. Now that I've placed my order, it still shows under my account that I need to buy 2 titles?! Will this change once the order is shipped?

^ Yes. Also, I'm sure others will start complaining if we keep cluttering this thread, so please know that there is a forum here dedicated to DVD club questions and bargains.

Once you have two PAID titles ship, your account will officially be fulfilled. But if all of your paid titles were pre-orders, and only your freebies ship, then no, you won't be fulfilled for a while.

Your monthly Director's Selection will usually be a TV show, but otherwise the clubs are 100% the same.

Perhaps YMMV, but I was able to get Best Buy to price match with a printout from Walmart's site. It's worth a try.

Awesome! Now if they will match Target's Sunday price for Never Say Never Again I'll be a happy camper.

Thanks Gizmo! No sales tax makes this a no-brainer.

I found this deal on AVS and it ended up paying off. Anyway, if you're looking for the Bourne Trilogy and don't want to pay the outrageous price, check out your local F.Y.E. They have a used copy for $71.99 and a 40% off used DVDs/BDs coupon, bringing the price down to $45.

I'm the one who posted @ AVS, but I also posted it in the DVD bargains forum here... plus HTF, too. Wanted anyone that needed Bourne Blu but didn't want to pay big $$ for it to get one...
