Darn, where were you last week when I placed my amazon.co.uk order?
I did buy Motorcycle Diaries on HD-DVD for under 6 pounds, but it sold out before I went to post it...

^^ Yeah, Amazon.com is doing a Blu-ray "sale". Some prices are decent (like Zodiac, Truman Show ($16.50) or Baraka ($17.50) but most titles seemed overpriced even with the sale pricing. Still, there are some good deals to be had. I'm debating about ordering The Truman Show and maybe Baraka. I'm not sure if it's worth it though -- at least for Baraka, which would be a blind buy. But Roger Ebert says that film/Blu-ray release is reason enough to purchase a Blu-ray player. That seems like a pretty strong recommendation.

I noticed the Zodiac price earlier today. I was very pleased. I lamented over the $24.99 price just last night.

Zach & Miri is $21.99. That Amazon sale is threadworthy.

Eh, 95% of the sale is pretty crappy though there are a few nice deals already mentioned by fellow dvdtalkers.

It is definitely worth it. Baraka is a 'top five' as far as sheer visual quality goes, and it's absolutely fascinating, hypnotic and, gee, virtually perfect. There's much more to it than just pretty landscapes, too, in case you were under the impression that's what it involved.

Got Vexille for $17.49 at that Amazon sale, I think the lowest they had it for before was $24 or $25.

Not really a bargain, but more of a head's up. Target is carrying Primal Fear on BD for $19.99.

From the bargains forum, there is also a 3 for 2 going on at Amazon UK with some actual good deals. I was able to use two from the list and one that wasn't and still get the promo.

They sure are. The original cast is back too, so unlike parts 2 and 3 I actually want to see this one.

Yeah, saw a trailer a couple weeks ago. It will have most of the original cast from the first one as I recall.

I used The Thing (13.68BP) and Run Lola Run (8.98BP) from the sale title list, and My Best Friend's Wedding (9.98BP) which is not on the list and I got the 8.98 promo deducted at checkout anyway. The order has processed and is dispatching today. That was my only order, but I guess other titles may work as well.

Ok, Tower.com is at it again. Anytime Amazon has a sale, they undercut it by a dollar or two so there are some great deals to be had with the new Amazon sale. Good enough to make me cancel my Amazon order I had. Best one I saw was Zodiac for 17.99. They had the Truman show for 14.99 as well. They don't charge tax and you get free shipping over 25 bucks.

This is probably a mistake, but right now you can get Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio both for $26.98 at Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Pinocchio-Anni...dp/B001ILFUDM/

Scroll down to the "Best Value" part and add to cart. It says $10 off, but the checkout is taking $10 off each title, making them $26.98 total. Damn near B1G1.

That's a great deal for anyone who doesn't have them!

My Best Friend's Wedding was on the list. I got that one with some others. Thank you, though.
