I think many here would agree that The Descent, regardless of whether it is the mpeg-2 or AVC version, is actually a great blu-ray release.

It's only a matter of time before Lionsgate rereleases many of their blu-ray titles currently available (like Rambo and Reservoir Dogs), based on their past history with the dvd versions.

The Descent looks really good. Yes, all of their catalog titles are going to be released again eventually, probably after they cycle all the old Artisian titles into their lineup.

Also, JR.com has another Sony Blu-Ray sale running. Most catalog titles are 11.99 plus shipping. Don't forget Live Cashback which is currently at 6%.

Got a $5 off any Fox Blu-ray (I think it was Fox and another company, maybe Universal, but I don't recall off the top of my head) attached to my Target receipt the other day. Just a heads up for those going to Target - look at the coupon that you occasionally get (I bought like $3 worth of Soda and got the $5 coupon).

Damn, too many sales for one day. Picked up A Few Good Men for $11.99 as well as Close Encounters for $23.99, which seems like a pretty good deal.

JR.com is also having a $5.99 sale for regular DVDs. They have some good selections, including some from the Miriam Collection. Picked up Control (which is an amazing film) and Joy Division (blind buy).

Best Buy 2 for $35 sale with I am Legend: CE included ...

I'm sure they'll take it off the deal asap like they did last time.

It makes you wonder if they fired two different people or just one person that made the same mistake twice. One thing is for sure though. Without this title this is a rather pathetic deal, even for Best Buy.

Not sure if this was posted already, but Target has Underworld: Evolution and Black Hawk Down for $14.99 this week. Also, the Sony coupons for $3 off select blu-rays (Black Hawk Down is one of them) expire on February 25th.

Just got back from Target. They also had Rocky Balboa, Layer Cake, and Ghost Rider for 14.99.

My local Sam's Club cleaned out the area for the Paramount Bundle packs so they might be getting ready to put the next set up soon. I know I read on anothe rboard that they would be getting Days of Thunder/Top Gun by March.

The steelbook versions are not listed as part of the deal, but if you order them with QoS and then email Amazon and ask for the discount you will probably get it like several of us have.

My guess would be because it wasn't distributed via Fox/MGM. I wish they'd just throw the steelbooks up there. You shouldn't have to email them to get the deal.

Trying to unload some of my extra HD DVD players on Craigslist...fodder like this helps the price and movement a bit. I only needed like 1 title too...

I'm exceptionally cheap but could really use a backup player if you might be open to shipping Gizmo.
