Wow, DD dropped the price of the BSG Complete series to 201.69 so after discount that brings the price down to 151.27! Time to cancel and reorder boys!

How does one cancel an order with Deep Discount?

Speaking from experience, that may take a while/forever. You might want to settle things on the phone with a CSR.

Are you guys re-ordering it now to lock in on the new price? Or waiting until you can call and cancel tomorrow?

You can either cancel via email from their contact us link or call them 800-264-5076 from 8am to 7pm CST.

I'm sure it will be a month before most of us receive these sets but I have no problem waiting considering it's more than half off MSRP.

Thanks for the phone number! I called this morning and was on hold for only a few minutes before I got a hold of a very nice customer service representative who offered to just adjust my price when I asked for her to cancel the BSG Complete Series Blu-ray set. Total cost was around $151 and some change (not counting the Bing cashback - so the total cost including that should be around $142).

Awesome deal for one of my all time favorite series!

Why I'm dumb: I got so excited compiling a long list of movies on Deep Discount that I forgot to actually enter the coupon code. D'oh! I sent a cancellation request via e-mail so I can re-order.

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

Well I just had a terrible experience with DD. The webpage was saying $201.69 and then after checking out it was saying $225 something. So I went back and forth, back and forth. Took a screen grab of it at $201.69 and ordered. Called to have it adjusted and was told that the price was changed hours ago. The reason it was showing me the wrong price was because my cookies hadn't been cleared.

Well... I reformatted my computer a couple weeks abo and haven't been to DD since and checked out the site after the "price change." When I pointed this out, and asked why else it could be, she said, "Because you have old cookies on your system."

I offered to send her the screen grab. She said I could but that she wouldn't do anything because of it.

Order canceled (including all the other things I had ordered.) Easy way for me to save a few hundred dollars!

Finally bit on Ghostbusters and Quantum of Solace for under $25 shipped from Amazon (with the GB coupon). Figure it's kind of like B1G1.

Thanks! Totally forgot about the coupon. Ghostbusters showed up in my goldbox this morning and at $13.29 it was still far above my pricepoint.

$8.29 however is a great price!

Deep Discount has been raising the prices of popular items, -the "Galatica" set is now 225.00 or thereabouts, and "300, -The Complete Experience" has jumnped from 27.99 to 35.56. I waited a little too long, -I'll just have to wait for another opportunity down the road.

Speaking of tricks by DDDvd.com, can anyone find Lost S1&S2 on their site?

Why do I have a feeling they'll show back up after the sale?

Re: One/Only HD/BD Bargains Thread Pt. IV: Back To Bargains

As listed in the Dvd bargains thread, wherehouse.com has a coupon good for 25% off this week on 4 used discs or more (including blu-rays) plus free shipping (coupon code: WH4DVD25)

I believe this is their best coupon...it also works with any FYE credit you may have obtained with their 20% brownbag trade-in special...

I used my credit to pick up 6 titles for just over $60 (although I actually spent $0 because I used credit)...this included the first season of Mad Men for only $13.50...they also have the first 2 bond volumes for just $21 each...

hope this helps some out there (especially those with the FYE credit)

Baraka is down to $13.49 at Amazon. I made the blind buy based on ridiculously good reviews.
