The FYE in Auburn Hills, MI. There's now an entire thread discussing this in the deals forum.

Fantastic deal on Blu-rays from a Canadian site. CSI Season 1 for $35 and many Canadian exclusives for $10ish.

inetvideo was the first to sell HDDVDs for dirt cheap and it looks like they're doing the same now with Blurays. Thanks for the headsup

This is decent price on CSI. Is this identical to the US version?

Wow - thanks! I went to two FYE's this week and neither had any indication of any $9.99 BD's. I'll have to check again tomorrow...

Amazon UK

Nightwatch/Daywatch (Double Feature) ($14--before VAT/Shipping)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Night-Watch-...7163408&sr=8-7

I believe both titles are confirmed to be Region-Free, but someone please correct me if I am wrong.

They are. Come with a slick slip cover as well.

Does this have any of the "special" subtitles?

So true...
Visited a 3rd FYE tonight. Asked a clerk if he had the "2001 A Space Odyssey" BD that's supposed to be on sale for $9.99. Dude looked at me like I was a martian.
He called the manager over. I asked her - she looked at me like I was a martian too.
They had one copy in the BD section, so I asked the manager to humour me and do a price check on it. Yep - $9.99 (needless to say I grabbed it)!
...But I can't believe that not only isn't there any indication of the sale pricing in the stores I've visited - but the mgmt. & employees are totally clueless about it as well!
:scratch2:

I found a copy of TMNT at my store last night and snagged it. It wasn't labeled as being on sale (but in fairness, all of the other reported titles here were labeled 9.99). Use the coupon and membership. Great deal for 5.99! All they have left now is Blow, but the manager said they might get more stuff in today...

A couple more BJ's Wholesale Club (YMMV) BDs with instant rebates:

Through 07/12 - The International [BLU-RAY]: $20.99 ($27.99 - $7 IR)
Through 08/02 - *Assorted Sony Titles [BLU-RAY]: $13.99 ($18.99 - $5 IR)
Through 08/02 - **Assorted Sony Titles 2 [BLU-RAY]: $9.99 ($14.99 - $5 IR)

*Assorted Sony Titles - The instant rebate applies to any BD with the SKU #676687. My club actually does not have any of the titles under this SKU in stock, yet. They're still listed as "vendor OOS". The one title that's given is Prom Night. I went ahead and listed the deal in case other (larger) clubs had already gotten some stock in. Mine is club #140 in Charlotte, NC. Will post additional titles if they get any in stock.

**Assorted Sony Titles 2 - The instant rebate applies to any BD with the SKU #676671. Same deal here. Only title listed is Hitch. Other titles TBA.

Does it show as shipped in your order status online?

The word floating around is that some Big Lots stores have season 7 of Smallville and season 4 of Nip/Tuck on Blu-ray for just six bucks a pop.

Same prices ebay and amazon sellers have been selling them for.

Does this mean the studio just seriously miscalculated when producing them? Or are they dumping them out cheap to try to encourage adoption? Or is BD on TV in serious trouble with extremely low sell-thru numbers?

In Nip/Tucks case its because Warner never made a Season 5 (or 6? don't follow the show) on Blu-ray. It was a one shot thing because sales sucked. Smallville is likely because of too much stock or because they are switching over to new, smaller cases (like Season 8 on Blu-ray/Supernatural etc.). Both have been littered on eBay for months now in the $10 range. It wouldn't surprise me to see other one shot stuff like Rescue Me, Prison Break, Damages (different studios though) because of lack of newer seasons coming out. Stores don't want to stock 1 season on Blu-ray when the following seasons never came out. Smallville is doing just fine on Blu-ray and further seasons will continue to come out.

Somehow, I'm not sure why, HD DVD Combos have not hit Big Lots. Seems like something that they could have wanted due to semi-recent titles.

I'm gonna grab a few of the Smallvilles/Nip Tucks because I want the cases for some custom stuff I am doing (Masters of Horror Season 1). So I'll be selling just the discs shortly.

Great idea. I might do the same if my Big Lots ever got anything decent.

I'm pretty sure they did. I remember seeing some posts about that not all that long ago.

The HD DVD Combos were showing up for $4.99 at grocery stores like Albertson's. Haven't checked in a while but they might still have them.

I've seen them at Ralphs but no other grocery store...yet. Luckily I have all the ones I could possibly want.
