So, if one was to buy four $29.95 MSRP titles, the cost would be:

$22.46 + (free BD) + $22.46 + (free BD) + $8.96 shipping = $53.88 (four BDs)
Average cost of each BD = $13.47.

This cost would be higher for higher MSRP BDs, of course. And it would be MUCH lower if the account was unfulfilled and one is factoring in fulfillment credit.

For more information on how Columbia House works, please visit the Clubs forum. For a list of BDs available from Columbia House, please check the http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-clubs/5...bia-house.html thread.

If you can wait, you can usually find a time when the BOGO overlaps with a Free shipping deal, or you can dig through the Clubs thread for a free shipping code. I have ordered during three different Blu BOGO sales, all with free shipping.

It seems that they once again disabled the code input for this sale. I guess unless they overlap the two without the need for a code input then you will have to pay shipping. It is still a good deal but I'm going to wait and see what happens or if they enable codes to be put in before the weekend passes.

I'm able to enter a promo code in my shopping cart. Is that what you're talking about, or is there a different code input somewhere? I'm fairly new to CH (this is only my 2nd order).

Now if only I can find a free shipping code to avoid paying shipping on the 14 BDs in my cart.

That's not what he's talking about. The shopping cart is not where the codes referenced in the club sub-forum are entered.

Thanks, I was confused at how he got such a low price per disc when there is no free shipping.

That is a great price. As a heads up, DeepDiscount.com also has it for $29.99, and their 20-25% off sale is rumored to start within a week or so. DD has however been known to raise their prices before the sale, so waiting is a risk.

I wonder if Best Buy will do this? I have a $20 RZ credit that would make this a steal.

I won't post details on how to optimize your Sony Rewards account (I've done it before), but for those of you who have a Sony card, use Sony Rewards, and have activated the Wheel Watchers discount, Glory is only $15.46 (1,546 pts). Add the blu-ray to your cart, go to checkout, and in the promo code box, enter glory. Just some words of warning: the item comes quickly once it ships, but it can take 2-4 weeks before the item actually ships.

Thanks for this - only cost me $14.95, received Movie Cash, and they had it delivered this afternoon by FEDEX - incredibly fast!!!

You are quite welcome! And you got it today?! Hopefully I get mine, too. My points have already cleared out of the holding stage, so it might have shipped already. This would be a very different experience than what I've seen in the past. Casino Royale took over month month to ship plus a week to deliver; Pineapple Express took 3 weeks to ship and ~3 days to deliver; Groundhog Day took 2-3 weeks to ship and ~3 days to deliver.

from AVS...

"Here is the info. on the Sony coupons:
* Save $3 on Paul Blart: Mall Cop on DVD or Blu-Ray
* Save $3 on Fireproof or Not Easily Broken on DVD or Blu-Ray
* Save $3 on the International on DVD or Blu-Ray
* Save $3 on Open Season 2 on DVD or Blu-Ray
* Save $3 on one of the following on DVD or Blu-Ray - Bad Boys, Ghost Rider, Black Hawk Down, XXX: State of the Union, Rocky Balboa (Bad Boys is not available on blu-ray)

* Save $5 on the Da Vinci Code on DVD or Blu-Ray
* Save $3 on Underworld - Rise of the Lycans on DVD or Blu-Ray
* Save $10 on the Underworld Trilogy on DVD or Blu-Ray
* Save $5 on Ghostbusters or Dr. Strangelove on Blu-Ray

I tried SONYPIC3 at Amazon for $3.00 off The International Blu-ray and it worked. Looks like if you use SONYPIC and then enter the dollar amount after the C for the discount as above it will work on Amazon. I tried SONYPIC5 on Da Vinci Code for $5.00 with success as well. As sensui posted the SONYPIC5 also worked on Ghostbusters. On Amazon you have to put the code in when you order, you can't apply it to an order you've already placed."

great price at Amazon for Ghostbusters, but I know that Fry's will eventually have it for $9.99 like they do for pretty much all Sony catalog titles on a monthly basis.

Tempting, but Columbia House prices would be better. Hmm... I'm cheap. And almost broke from buying too many movies.

Grabbed Ghostbusters for free after the coupon and a gift certificate. Already ordered Dr. Strangelove from Columbia House as part of their BOGO.

The SONYPIC5 code will stack with the GHOSTBLU code, giving you two $5 discounts off of the Ghostbusters Blu-ray at Amazon, making it only $9.99! Even CH with a BOGO + FS can't beat that one....

Also, if you wanted to add Dr. Strangelove to the Ghostbusters order, the SONYPIC5 code will take $5 off both Ghostbusters & Dr. Strangelove (not just one), so, couple that with the GHOSTBLU and you can get a $15 savings!
