New NBC Comedy w/Kirsten Bell from Parks & Rec creator ordered: "Good Place"
Kristen Bell and Ted Danson have a new Place on NBC.
The network announced Tuesday that Bell and Danson would be starring in the upcoming Good Place, a new comedy developed by Parks and Recreation creator Michael Schur.
Bell will play Eleanor, a New Jersey woman "who comes to realize that she hasn’t been a very good person. She decides to turn over a new leaf by learning what it actually means to be 'good; or 'bad, and then trying to make up for her past behavior." Danson is set to star as Michael, who, "through an unlikely set of circumstances," will be Eleanor's guide through her self-improvement journey. NBC has ordered 13 episodes of the show.
Danson's move to the NBC sitcom puts the future of the last remaining CSI series in jeopardy on CBS.

not crazy about Bell, but love Danson in everything. and creators of Parks and Rec. have me plum giddy!

Helping Eleanor navigate her new surroundings are Chidi (William Jackson Harper), her kind, open-hearted "soulmate" who sees the good in people but finds himself facing quite a dilemma; her frustratingly perfect new neighbors, Tahani (Jameela Jamil) and Jianyu (Manny Jacinto); and Janet (D'Arcy Carden), a walking, talking source for all the knowledge in the universe. Doesn't look interesting to me. But I will watch it because of Bell. If I can watch 5 seasons of House of Lies...I can check this out.

Nice to see something a little more quirky and not just another random group of people who work at a bar or live near each other as a show setting. Kristen Bell is pretty much spot on perfect casting for this sort of role but then maybe I'm blinded by being a fan.
My only issue with the show is I guess they are going to run it after Superstore and for whatever reason I can't stand watching Superstore. Then again I guess that's why we have DVR systems.

I love Kristen Bell so much.
I only watched the first part, but I enjoyed it. It was different, and that is welcomed.

I liked it... an enjoyable fun watch. I'm curious how they can stretch out the premise over multiple seasons if it's successful, as they seemed to cover a lot of ground just in two episodes. The flashbacks are a good idea, to keep the connection to bad Eleanor even as she makes progress. I like the chemistry between Eleanor and Ariana Grande, and Ted Danson seems to be channeling a somewhat straighter Tim Gunn.

I'll give it a couple more episodes, but so far this is hitting my tolerance levels for Kristen Bell. She seems especially annoying in this role. I don't see how there are people that really love her.

Some great sight and verbal gags, but not seeing how this can be sustained past one season.
