It was pretty good. I like Bell and this had Pushing Daisies vibe, which was one of my favorites. I'm not sure how it will play with just a half hour run time each week.

not that funny, but a decent premise. somebody trying something new which is refreshing. I'll stick with it for a few more episodes...

strange show, not sure I will stick with it.
Why can't kristen bell get back into a show that I like? Her character is tough to like.

I liked this premiere, and Bell's character. Curious to see where they go with it.

People like her because shes pretty. If she looked like Kathy Bates shed be a Walmart greeter.

I liked it.
No mentions of that part in the bar when She speaks with the bartender and the straw.
Look at my avatar, Goldberg i need a gif of her and that straw.

A new episode, in its regular time slot, is on tonight.

I saw the first 2 episodes (1 hour premiere) yesterday. I kind of liked it. It was quirky and fun. It's definitely different than most new comedies. Didn't realize dead people still eat and sleep.
The premise does seem better suited for a movie. I wonder how long they will draw out this mix up before Michael discovers the mistake.

I don't think it'll be long, but they're setting it up so Michael, being a newbie, won't be able to admit to a mistake that big.
After episode 3 i actually think this would be a good show to binge, I'm finding the plot direction more interesting than the comedy.

I thought the first two were damn good. Kristen Bell is perfectly cast and Danson is clearly having fun with a more zany role. I'm definitely in for awhile.
I'm wondering if the idea is to take it in an American Horror Story direction. Different town, different characters. Maybe her being in the Good Place causes a ripple effect across multiple towns. Think Final Destination.
Pushing Daisies immediately came to mind, but despite TGP's quirkiness, it's just not even in the same ballpark creatively. Even with some of the more crazy stuff going on, it still felt like they were holding back.
Plus the town should feel like more of a character, IMO.
I bet the overall setup is while she's becoming a better person Michael and Chidi slowly go in the other direction trying to help her and cover up the mistake.

The 3rd episode that aired on Thursday was entertaining, although not really funny.
I did find it amusing how Chidi was struggling to find his place in The Good Place and sought Michael's help to find him a "hobby"
I loved how Michael ripped apart Chidi's book saying how convoluted it was.
Man, frozen yogurt, food, sleeping, hobbies, nice little houses. I hope we all can look forward to these luxuries in our next life.
Definitely not a LOL funny 30 minute show, but I am finding it amusing. It's premise is unique compared to other comedies.

I thought it different, nice, and colorful (moreso in the first 2 eps.), though never funny (though I practically never find any comedy funny).

Yeah, in general I like the show. Not laugh out loud funny but amusing and it keeps my interest. I get the feeling that the bad place is more or less bullshit.

I loved Acid Cat: "I listened to your demo, you're terrible. You don't have any, what's the word? Oh yeah talent. What you do have is my approximate size and weight."
decent ep.. as others have said this show is rather amusing.

Thought this was the best/funniest episode so far. I actually laughed a lot.

Agreed, the eps seems to get better with each ep as it introduces more misfits.
A lot of us Jacksonvillians do crash jet skis into manatees. And I'd totally be the guy with the bowl full of peanut M&Ms. I kind of get a Beetlejuice vibe from this now.

I do wish this show didn't actually do material down to the last second. I watched two episodes back-to-back and my DVR cut both off in mid-sentence and I can't program to compensate.

I'm three episodes in and think it's pretty fresh and funny so I'll stick with it.

I can't believe it... but I'm going to bail on this. I just don't have any interest. It doesn't hold my attention. Sorry, Kristen... I still love you. Hopefully you get a good cable gig if this is canned. Or take some edgier roles since you have that Disney "fuck you" money.

A few episodes in and I really like it. I had absolutely zero knowledge of what the show was about when I started watching it, and wasn't sure of the premise when I did start watching, but I've been enjoying it so far. Have loved Bell since Veronica Mars so having her star doesn't hurt, but I don't think that she's really a great choice for that character.

I'm really enjoying it. Just got caught up earlier. Danson is great, especially in the most recent episode out having fun. The Friends references were great especially when he curled up into the fetal position and said he felt like Season 8... out of ideas like pairing Rachel and Joey together. I also liked the bit at the beginning about Eleanor not being able to see the 9th level stuff in his office.
Seeing the Eleanor flashbacks are fantastic, it's basically a free pass for the writers to cut loose and just go for any joke because we know she was a bad person. The morbidly obese dog in a wagon was funny as hell.
Chidi is coming along too as a great character. I'm still not sold on Jianyu & Tahani, however having Jianyu afraid to speak to beautiful women was a nice little twist. A tad more realistic than the shit BBT had Raj deal with for 6 or whatever seasons. I'm also not a fan of D'arcy. I like the concept and she has some decent bits, but I'm not a fan of the actress. Fortunately if this sticks around, due to the nature of the show D'arcy could be easily replaced and new couples could be shuffled in place of Tahani/Jianyu.

Was Jianyu afraid to talk to women or was he just going to blow it if he did? I may have missed something there.
Interesting that
, or at least closer than what they have now.
The one thing I dislike is Chidi and his whole morality classes and stuff. Does anyone really think studying all that will make Eleanor and Jianyu more moral?
