Blade 4 - Rumors, news, etc.
I did a search and couldn't find any older threads or rumors about this happening. Anyway, no real details here but I saw this in the news -

While the third movie was disappointing, I'd still be game for a 4th movie.

Wesley Snipes to reprise 'Blade' role in fourth film

Actor Wesley Snipes is reportedly set to reprise his role as vampire hunter Blade in a fourth instalment of the franchise.
The "Expendables 3" star will net a $3 million paycheck for his return to the film series, according to the New York Daily News.
Snipes recently spoke about his desire to return to the franchise, telling MTV.com, "I'd be open to it. I think we've got some stones left unturned and there's some latitude left for us to build on and I'd love to get back in the suit again and do some things I've learned how to do now that I didn't know how to do then."
The 52-year-old previously played the character in 1998's Blade, 2002's "Blade II" and 2004's "Blade: Trinity."

Yeah, if they get a good director then I'm in. No way is David Goyer coming back, because he pretty much ruined the franchise with 3.
What's Stephen Norrington doing these days?

Didn't the rights to Blade go back to Marvel Studios?
I think the report should be taken with a grain of salt. I think it's unlikely that Marvel would have signed Snipes so soon with no script or director attached.
No doubt that Snipes could still pull of playing Blade. He's still in great shape for his age.

Re: Blade 4 (201?) S: Snipes
If Snipes was cast, I think it would be a movie that doesn't mention the previous films but doesn't negate them. It wouldn't have 4 in the title since this would be a Marvel film and not a New Line? film.
But in reality, Disney would probably go for a younger actor for Blade and just reboot the series. I've never read Blade so I don't know who his main villians are and if they were in the older films or not.

Yeah I read something like this the other day but it was framed as "would there be a Blade 4" not that it was a given.
I think the first one was the only good one, the second one is completely overrated with the only good part being Ron Perlman.

Yea... this is not official at all. He said he'd be up to do it. Marvel has the rights now and at this time there are no plans.

Really enjoyed the first movie. Had fun with the second movie. Hated the third movie (having Dracula as the big baddie should have been a great way to end the trilogy). I would be in to see a fourth movie as long as it went back to the style and attitude of the first two movies.

Ohhhh...forgot about that. You know it could be interesting to re-introduce the character somewhere in the Doctor Strange realm of the big screen Marvel Universe. They could make a good team on the big screen.

I hope they consider that. I know they'd probably want to recast entirely for their universe... but they have to at least consider him, he has such passion for the material. A Punisher show is definitely the way to go though in regards to reintroducing him within the MCU.

I thought Jane's film was pretty much mediocre all over for the most part. Russian fight was good though. War Zone had a shit script but a great director for the material and wildly awesome action. Stevenson was along the lines of what Punny is to me.
I admire Jane's passion for the character though. I'd be down for a Netflix thing.

I don't see this Blade 4 thing happening at all. I WISH Marvel would do the Jane/Punisher reboot though I don't see that happening either.

With Blade and Ghost Rider both back in Marvel's hands, I'd like to see them establish a supernatural MCU. You got all those Legion of Monsters guys (Morbius, Man-Thing, Werewolf By Night) as well.

I'd love to see something like that too. I'd be curious if Marvel ever decides to go that route theatrically given the current movies are lighter and more accessible fare and how that style affects the current brand.

Also, he was mentioned in an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode last season, but that's not concrete proof of anything.
