I'm 20 minutes into this episode. I can't believe we were shown what (apparently was going to happen.) I never watching "Next time on..." And I don't want to see it here.

Again, the passage of time is questionable. The physical healing process implies several weeks have passed, yet the inter-personal relationships (and Rick insisting he needed one more night to think about it) indicate no time has passed. Perhaps Herschel really IS a wizard.
If this "kid" went to school with Maggie and went to church with her family, how did NOBODY recognize him.
Other than that ... this is what EVERY episode should be! The story was advanced, relationships continued to develop (or fall apart), and the episode was packed full of glorious zombie action! This episode reinforces the notion that the "Searching for Sophia" story-arc was poorly handled by the show-runners.
I have to admit, I was laughing at the "zombie pile-up" on Rick.
Can I finally get some love from you guys for Andrea? Lori is completely off base with her sexist "being the little ladies" mentality.

And the kid said he knew who Maggie was, but she didn't know him. It seems pretty normal that people wouldn't recognize every single kid in school or church.
But I agree, a lot of good things this episode. Loved Rick shooting through the zombie pile. And Lori really needs to die. I really thought he was going to ditch Shane there for a second.

I like the sound design during the Rick and Shane fight. The noises they were making made them sound just like the ravenous walkers.

I thought Rick was going to cripple the kid to feed to the lamebrains and get them away from the bus, just like Shane did with Otis.
Why are zombies so angry? They're always snarling and growling.

Did Shane cut his hand in the bus with the same knife he killed the zombie cop at the chain link fence?

Solid episode this week.
Yeah, how much time had passed since the last episode was a question mark to me. Considering the kid suffered a major injury to his leg after getting impaled, I was surprised how well he was walking. I'm no Doctor, but I would think an injury like that would take several weeks to a month to fully heal.
Really liked Rick and Shane's conversation earlier in the episode. It was good that Rick finally took charge and put Shane into place. It's funny that Dale "assumed" that Shane killed Otis without any evidence and everyone including Lori just went along with it. Shane confessed to Rick, but I thought there would be a little more to it than that.
Some really solid Zombie action in this episode as well. The makeup of the walkers continues to be impressive.
Shane brought up an issue with the 2 Cops. He noticed that they didn't have any bite marks, but just scratches. So Rick assumed the scratches caused the infection. I recall some of you were alluding in one of the previous threads that there may be more to this brain virus that turns you into a walker than just being bitten. I assume that Rick, Shane and the rest of the group must have gotten scratches at some point.
I'm guessing that Andrea was trying to test Beth and see if she really had the balls to off herself?

And is T-Dog still alive? (apparently not to the writers...)
Shane's reflection in the broken glass was telling as well.
Well, they edited the scene at the fence so you never saw "Shane's turn" so maybe they thought of that after the fact. (I'm sure it was though.)
The whole 'cutting' idea is ridiculous anyway...

I would put the episode where Shane kills Otis and shaves his head above this one, but definitely a kickass episode. Plenty of zombie action, and moral conflicts. I felt so bad for the blonde girl. Faced with the choice of suicide or being eaten alive. Everyone else just doesn't want to face reality.
Loved the zombie head crush with the car.

This is one of the things we just have to accept with regards to fiction. Timelines can't be scrutinized too closely.
