BLUE VELVET is my favorite film...so this was easy.

It was hard to for me to choose between Blue Velvet and River's Edge. He plays psychopaths in both - aggressive in the former, burnt-out in the latter - but his performance as Feck has a certain sad pathos to it, so that got my vote. Night Tide is a personal favorite, but he's actually pretty terrible in it.

I had to go with Blue Velvet. Though I do love Easy Rider and I think he gives one hell of an amazing performance in True Romance.

I will always remember him for River's Edge. I just love that movie in so many ways. Blue Velvet was a great performance as well. Two great movies for Hopper back to back and those were the first two movies I ever remember seeing him in and I started to seek out more of his movies.

It seems to be thats the movie that while they may not of heard of it, when friends of mine have seen it, they always tell me how great and awesome it is. And it could also be a 'spot an early appearence of a now popular actor'
