It is good to see that I haven't been removed from the chart despite my recent lack of reviews. I will be reviewing tonight's episode live and I have the last two on the DVR. When I get around to reviewing those should I just post in the original threads?

So far, so funny.
I'm even enjoying Lily Allen.
That's cool... you can put them back in the original threads, and I'll update the one next week with your grades.

I haven't watched SNL in at least a year or so, but am tonight because I want to see Lily Allen. Boy, this is bad. It doesn't help that I don't like Drew Barrymore. I should've just recorded it, so I could fast forward to Allen's performances. Oh, well.

Re: Lily Allen. That song, THAT SONG!! (Cry-yi-yi...) I never knew who sang it before. When I was in London back in August I heard that fucking tune everywhere I went. And could not get it out of my head for weeks. Probably won't again.

It started okay, it went downhill fast.

I was pleasantly surprised. Drew brought it in every sketch, especially the "nervous interviewee," bitches!
The Firestarter reference was funny, I wish they could have thought of something else besides flame broiled franks as a vehicle.
I liked the references to "Drew Barrymore" on the whole. Romantic comedies, Firestarter, she mentioned, "ET", and the last sketch where her familys link to old hollywood AND her own dalliances with alcohol are referenced.
The Dakota Fanning Show not only needs to be done more, but it should be on You Tube tomorrow.
"I got an Oscar nomination."
"What for?"
"I danced funny."
"I get raped in my next movie."
I'd rate this ep a solid B.
Anyone see Darrell Hammond at ALL this episode? Maybe thats why I liked it so much.

Thought Lily Allen was great.
Best sketch was the interview one. But overall it was pretty ho-hum.
I wish there would have been something with the Super-Fans.

It thought they had more hits then misses, The Dakota Fanning Show was great and I liked The Firestarter sketch as well.
The only parts I didn't care for were the AI open and Donatella sketch, though I don't know if it was the writing or the fact they brought Sanz back for it.
Lily Allen sounded great.

Since SNL couldn't be bothered to do a SuperFans skit. Here's a line from the skit I imagined in my mind.
Bob Swerski- My Prediction for da final score. Bears 212, Colts -2.
Carl Wollarski - I'm gonna hafta disagree with ya there Bob. I say.. Bears 412, Colts 14. The Bears want to make it look like the Colts had a chance.
Bob- Da Bears are not without compassion.
Todd- Heart Attack!

I thought Drew Barrymore was great tonight and made each skit she was in. The nervous interviewee showed some real comedy ability and could easily have been terrible if not for how great she did with it.

American Idol F
Huh? If you can't successfully make fun of American Idol, you shouldn't be in show business.
Monologue D-
All I got out of this was confirmation of how cosmetically unattractive Drew Barrymore really is.
Dakota Fanning Show D-
I guess I don't know enough about Dakota Fanning to understand why this was even supposed to be funny.
Therapist B
Dr. Pat makes an appearance. Enjoyed the underplayed absurdity.
Digital Short - Body Fuzion B
Decent parody of that horrible '80s/'90s exercise video craze.
Target F
This premise was barely interesting enough to be done once. No need for the endless repeats of the exact same sketch.
Caffeinated Job Interview F
Robin Williams unfunny.
Musical Guest No grade
Didn't enjoy it, but I could see how some might. Skipped it.
Weekend Update No grade
As usual, I simply FF'd through it without watching, though I have little doubt it was awful as usual.
Versace Super Bowl Party D
I don't find Maya Rudolph entertaining, though her Versace character is the least bad. It was good to see her special guest Prince, which alone would have brought it up to a C...but then Horatio Sanz showed up.
Jo Jo D-
Amy Poehler really needs to leave this show.
Firestarter Smoked Sausages D
Pretty lame even for a late in the show commercial parody. Maybe if I had ever seen firestarter some of this would have made some sense.
Musical Guest No grade
Same reason as before.
Peter O'Toole A-
Bill Hader absolutely carried the "talented actress" Drew Barrymore through the sketch. At this point, compared to the rest of the cast, this guy is a superstar.
Baby Toupee No grade
Rerun.
OVERALL D-
Other than a very select 10 minutes, this was yet another horrible episode. Since even the few good bits were underplayed, there was a grand total of ZERO LOL-type moments.
