SNL 09/30/06 - (H) Dane Cook (M) the killers

"My name's Dane Cook and I'm hosting SNL this week with musical guest the killers."

"Where's Amanda Peet."

"Not here."

"When do we meet Alec Baldwin?"

"That's another show. We're the real deal. This is SNL."
As a reminder, the cast for Season 32 is: Fred Armisen, Will Forte, Bill Hader, Darrell Hammond, Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, Kenan Thompson and Kristen Wiig.

Chris Parnell, Rachel Dratch, Tina Fey, Finese Mitchell, and Horatio Sans.

Let's hope the season starts off great!

The auditions (for the first week)

Legalese for the reviewer selection for SNL Season 30:

1. Watch SNL before the following Tuesday and post your opinion of each skit.

2. Give the episode a grade from A thorugh F (you can use pluses and minuses).

3. All participants that meet these requirements for the first three episodes will be considered for the remaining 7 slots in the weekly review and placed in a poll that the posters of TV Talk will vote on that following week.

4. At that time, the grades of the 7 selected (through the highest forum votes) will be averaged and posted.

I hope they have enough talent to do it in a way that makes me laugh. Actually, that goes for every sketch.

Heh, if they do, we'll be lucky if they don't just go for the cheap, easy, obvious jokes: like Matt (Matthew Perry) acting like Chandler from "Friends" and Harriet as an over the top Jesus freak.

I love SNL and even though its sucked the last 6-7 years or so. I can't see it being any better with the dropped cast members. I will still always watch SNL like a good loyal dog.

That was the best they could come up with to start a new season?

Bad idea for the first skit of a new season.

If the opening sketch of the season is any indication, things aren't looking up.

I laughed for the YouTube part.

The rest, I dunno, Dane Cook just irks me for some reason.

It was weird to see so few cast members in the opening credits (but they did intersperse the montage with some random hotties).
