Anybody know? Just wondering if it's going to be worth the extra $10. I liked the movie and all, but $15 vs $25 is a big difference.

Well, there will actually be a full, feature-length film entitled "Wake Up Ron Burgundy" packaged in. Apparently, it will consist of the many, many deleted scenes from the first movie, strung together as a sequel of sorts.

very true
Universal has announced Anchorman which stars Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd and Steve Carell. The hit comedy will be available in extended, theatrical and giftset form from the 28th December. The extended edition disc will introduce around ten minutes of additional footage, and is set to carry a 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo and French Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras will include outtakes, fifteen minutes of deleted scenes, a Bill Kurtis Interviewing Ron Burgundy feature, a Ron Burgundy Biography A&E Special, Ron Burgundy's MTV Music Award Interviews, the Afternoon Delight Music Video, Behind-The-Scenes of the Afternoon Delight Music Video, an ESPN Audition and more. The theatrical cut on the other hand, will include the features listed above, although the film will be presented in full frame only. Finally, the giftset will include the extended edition, along with another feature length film entitled Wake Up Ron Burgundy. Exclusive bonus features and a Ron Burgundy's Month to View Journal gift will also be included. The retail price for this one has yet to be determined, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything.

You've all sold me!! I haven't seen this yet (for shame, I know!), but I was holding off on picking this up as a blind buy. Sacrilege, given that it's Wil Ferrel, I know, but Christams really drained my account this year....

so will the giftset also have the bonus materials on the WS Extended version? It didn't quite say in the description in the post, just that it had exclusive bonus features.
And, is this set two separate DVD cases? or a double or what? Anyone know the exact packaging?
Thanks.

The Unrated Cut adds in 4 minutes of additional footage.
The Unrated Cut disc includes an additional 35 minutes of deleted scenes/outtakes.
Wake Up has a running time of 84 minutes or so.
The Wake Up disc also includes 35 more minutes of deleted scenes/outtakes.
In all, one is getting 157 minutes of deleted footage. A little bit over two and a half hours worth.
And I have a sinking suspicion that the Best Buy bonus disc includes the deleted scenes from the Wake Up disc. Similar to how the Shrek 2 bonus disc had stuff from the four-disc box and the Van Helsing bonus disc had material from the three-disc box.

i read that theres an entire subplot about terrorist in san diego that is the basis for Wake Up, Ron Burgundy!
I can't wait, this has to be funny if it's anything close to the theatrical release
