It was an enjoyable movie. The animation style was better than I thought. Another plus is the relations between the two characters: Rita and Keiji. I have a suspicion that some people won't like the final arc. I don't know anything from the original source material. And it has been too know since I watched Edge of Tomorrow to make proper comparison.

GENKIDASTAGE Part 1,” that the newest arc in the franchise, Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, is officially set for production. Stay tuned as Dragon Ball continues to reach new heights!

Today, at “Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri,” the Dragon Ball 40th Anniversary event being held at Makuhari Messe, Ms. Masako Nozawa, voice of Son Goku, and Mr. Akio Iyoku, the Executive Producer of the Dragon Ball series, attended the opening stage entitled “Exclusive Announcements GENKIDASTAGE Part 1.” There, a surprise announcement was made about the production starting for Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol.

This will be the story following the “Universe Survival Arc” of the anime Dragon Ball Super, which aired between 2015 and 2018. It also appears in the manga Dragon Ball as the “Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc.” The main character, Son Goku, and Vegeta, work together with the members of the Galactic Patrol, the peacekeepers of the galaxy, to begin a SUPER scale battle against a new enemy, “Planet-Eater” Moro!

The teaser visual for this title was also revealed globally for the first time during the “Exclusive Announcements GENKIDASTAGE Part 1.” Along with the logo for Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, Goku and Vegeta are seen wearing an uniform and battle armor with the Galactic Patrol symbol on the chest. With stern expressions on their faces and a large Galactic Patrol emblem in the background, the visual offers an exciting first look at the two warriors standing side by side.

World Premiere to Take Place February 15 at Berlinale 76th Berlin International Film Festival; Limited Edition Blu-Ray Steel Book to Be Released in Early 2027

HOUSTON, TX — FEBRUARY 11, 2026 — Following its wildly successful 30th anniversary theatrical release, AMC Networks’ Sentai is excited to reveal the 4K adaptation of Ninja Scroll, the critically acclaimed drama film set in the age of samurai during the Edo period of feudal Japan. Originally released in 1993, Ninja Scroll (Jubei Ninpucho in Japanese) was written and directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, and is now considered a truly seminal work in anime filmmaking. In Summer 2024, Sentai together with HIDIVE released Ninja Scroll in over 500 theaters across the U.S. in partnership with Iconic Events Releasing as part of its AX Cinema Nights series. Spearheaded and produced by Sentai under the supervision of Director Yoshiaki Kawajiri, the digital adaptation of Ninja Scroll was a painstaking restoration and remastering of the movie — a meticulous process that involved a 4K scan (3840 × 2160 pixels) of the original 35mm negative, then repairing any damage and lastly performing color correction to create an archival quality digital master of the film.
