Do what ya gotta do. Basically, everything is owned by some "arm" we might not agree with. I am not always a fan of Netflix's creative decisions & narratives but I have to weight that against the content & costs of the service. Same for Disney.

But physical media is still the best way to preserve content we love. Lets agree to agree there.

That's a helluva swing for Blu and 4K, what big title just came out on 4K?

I tried to look up April 2026 releases and didn't see anything particularly noteworthy that would account for the sudden increase in UHD sales.

I remember in years past when the weekly release schedules were a big deal. Now you can barely find them.

Maybe it wasn't a jump in UHD sales, but rather a huge drop in DVD and BD which made UHD look more significant when comparing.

That's entirely possible, but the sales patterns generally seem pretty consistent in the 50-25-25 range unless there's a major new release that disrupts things.

Do they not publish the sales numbers? Simply the pie chart? Perhaps there was an error.

The numbers aren’t publicly viewable, but you can see the top sellers and the proportions at Media Play News.

In this case, Mercy was the most popular title. Greenland 2 was #2 and sold 82.27% as many copies as Mercy. Godzilla Minus One was actually the best seller on BD or UHD, despite being the 5th best seller on disc in general.
