I don't remember who specifically, but I remember years ago commenting and wondering why someone here had watched up to the 4th or 5th Resident Evil movie or something with comments about how terrible the entire series is.

Watched this again yesterday. Enjoyed it just as much as the 1st time. It's not as good as the first, but the gun play scenes are done so much better.

The first was better, but this really worked as the launching pad for a franchise. I find the continental stuff interesting, and if they do the TV series I think that would be fun.

Damn, was not expecting this to be anywhere near as good as it was - I disagree that the first was better but at the same time in saying that...I don't think you can compare the two of them in full because of what each needed to do (i.e. origin, setup, etc...)

Loved the ending, watched it (the ending) a second time immediately after the credits rolled.

I don't know how they're going to top this but I'm sure the third flick will be crazy either way.

I'm in the same boat. I loved it. I watched the first one again about a month ago for a refresher and I think this one tops the first one. Yes, it is more back story on the organization, but the action is top notch and over the top. It was also cool seeing people come back from the first movie, even if some were just quick cameos. The first 20 mins or so is just crazy, and one of the best openers for any action movie. I can't believe he's still kicking ass in his 50's, I would have never guessed. Bring on Chapter 3!

They should redo that vid using the "John Wick Mode" track.
