Like we need to see another trailer..... If anything I might just get the game and just ride and fly around looking at all the sights.

that looked good, but maybe it's my computer, but the graphics didn't look like anything that special really. the hippo killing looked liked Red Dead Redemption back on the 360. not saying that is a bad thing, bc i loved RDR, but the graphics seemed eh. i never played any of the others, but this seems like a good one to jump into...

The word on the street is that it is great. But right now really, really, really buggy. Also, its surprisingly difficult.

Last night, I watched the Easy Allies (former GameTrailers guys) review, and the game looked good. I'm not just talking about graphics, but the new/revamped combat and leveling systems looked really appealing.
Then I watched Polygon's 30 minute pre-review play through, and the game looked fucking terrible. Zero verticality, shitty stealth, clipping through environments, bad camera...it was so odd.
I know one of these was a highly edited series of clips (EA) and the other was just a straight up slice of the game (Polygon), but it almost felt like I was watching two different games. Both were captured from the X1X, I think.
I'm still pretty pumped for this, but I think I'll wait a while considering I'm coming fresh off of Shadow of War. That's enough stealth action for a month or two.

I’m enjoying it. Played several missions. I’m level 4 but it doesn’t recommend starting my main mission until level 5. I need to swap out my bow as I don’t think I can use my shield with bow equipped as well. So I use my main weapon but take hits since no shield lol

I like the game quite a bit but it really has me thinking it is Assassin's Creedcon. The map is massive like the last Ghost Recon with crap to loot and things to do in each area. I did climb one of the pyramids in Giza and it was a bit of a pain.

Are the game mechanics similar or exact or same as othe AC’s? Or revamped? I think I didn’t get into ACII bc of the gameplay mechanics...

X is to dodge an attack, and LB is your shield.
Also this game is an RPG so just being able to collect loot and level up should keep you interested. I always got bored with past AC's because it lacked the RPG elements I crave.

Is it worth exploring areas of the map that do not have an Icon?

Once you get past the first area, you can send your bird out to explore and open up the rest of the map. It is a slow process but you can see what is out there. Going to those other places, on the other hand, is not recommended until you are around a particular level and with certain gear. It has a Division feel to it with the weapons and their levels.
