Also, once I'm done with PS+ games, I'm deleting those as well. No need to keep the ones I don't like and chances I'll ever play through something like Contrast again? .05%. Working on Stick it to the Man right now, and that will get dumped soon too.

No reason to keep a virtual library of shit to sift through that I'm never going to play again.
This is precisely how I feel and exactly what I've been doing. I've deleted most of the PS+ freebies after either finishing them or establishing that I'd never finish them, and I've deleted disk-based games liberally.

My PS4 currently has Resogun, Velocity 2X, Pixeljunk Shooter, Outlast (need to get to that), Pinball Arcade, Zen Pinball, Fez and one disk-based game on it...Need for Speed Rivals, because it's something I might want to pick up on a whim. I just got my Last of Us disk, and that will probably be installed for a while, but unless I get into the multiplayer (unlikely), it'll get deleted too.

I feel like the fast installs and easily accessed downloads have given me enough flexibility that I don't need a bigger HD.

Minecraft : PS4 Edition is up in the PSN store now. The web store doesn't give me the discount, but reading how the entitlement would work I wasn't expecting it to.

No. It's only a big deal if it comes to the Xbox One first.

I really hope PSN is back up soon. My raid group is running in FF tonight. Three of us won't be able to get on if it's not back up.

If it does come back up, it won't be for long, as on Tuesday, Destiny will play the Islamic terrorist to PSN's American journalist and just murder it.

Weird, the web store isn't showing the discount for me either, and I have the digital version, I'll check the console store in a while.

Just a reminder that this isn't the "bash Xbox One and Wii U" thread.

It does a much better job of bashing itself than we ever could.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Minecraft discount is showing properly for me. I've seen numerous places say that as long as it was associated with your account before the end of August, but I haven't seen anything official on that.

The European PS blog says the disc version had to be played before August 28th, haven't seen anything official about US, however a friend of mine that rented in the past has the upgrade option available.

I have an 8/24/14 game save and no upgrade offer. That was during one of the PSN outages though. I have some 8/24/14 trophies though

I loathe this term becoming so ubiquitous in our vernacular, but figured it applies here..."seriously."

I received these the other day and they are worse than the Kontrol Freaks when it comes to staying on the controller. The ones with all the nubs sticking up stay on fine so far, but the concave ones that I like from the set and are really the ones I wanted to use don't stay on for shit.

The Binding of Isaac : Rebirth is coming to the PS4 and Vita on 11/4/14.

Not a game I'm even remotely interested in, but you can bet your left testicle it'll be one of the two PS4 freebies in November.

edit : Testicle safe!

Is it going to be free through PS+ when it releases?

This is the PS+ November game for North America and Europe, so yes.

The Binding of Isaac is a pretty fun randomly generated game, it's a lot like a Zelda game with nothing but random dungeons.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I guess I'm kind of being a game snob, but it's just not a game that I would buy or even try. Hell, I'm pretty sure I got it as part of a $1 Humble Bundle and I've never had any desire to even check it out. If that's going to be one of the free PS Plus games for November, I hope the other one is more polished -- maybe Knack for the 1 yr anniversary or something.
I have no use for one of the October freebies either since I'm getting the full game of Driveclub anyway. I know you're not going to get a Velocity 2X every month for free, but I want something a little more exciting (and less indie) than Isaac. I'm also sick of Rogue-like freebies after Don't Starve, Road Not Taken and Towerfall. I want my gameplay sessions to at least sometimes result in some sort of tangible progress. Otherwise it feels like a waste of time to me.
