Hmm, I've played on all 6 chars up to torment level 6, and to be honest I rarely notice any difference between the followers. The only time I even notice them doing something is when the enchantress turns people into chickens. My demon hunter even runs with the scoundrel, and he's fine.

I real think it depend on the gears on the followers. Been trying to get a legendary Maximus to dropped so I can equip it with the enchantress but so far no luck.

Re: Diablo III + Reaper of Souls (multi-platform)
My only 70 is the crusader and I use the enchantress with him. I love it when she turns mobs into chickens. I use the templar when I'm playing a more squishy class like the wiz and use the enchantress/scoundrel for when I'm playing a tank class. But I don't think the companion really matters in the end.
Had one of my best nights ever in the game so far.
Question on the GRs... why is there a time limit? Is it so you can gain access to the gem lady NPC at the end? We completed the T2 (14) GR within the time and the vendor showed up. We couldn't do the T3 (16) GR within the time limit and no NPC, but the Guardian still appeared.
Set Items (non craftable)... the best way to get these is in GRs or test your patience with Kadala? Seems like it will be a pain to complete a set. Buzz, how is RNGesus in this game compared to Destiny? More forgiving?
Hallowed Set (craftable)... how are these? I crafted the axe and shield for my crusader. The set bonus is +100 resistance and +10 or 15% to attack speed. My attack rating dropped by 100k though when I equipped them (these replaced the Fate of the Fell flail or the Corrupted Ashbringer sword). Wondering if the set item bonus trumps the loss in overall attack?
Thanks
EDIT: Oh yeah, I miss getting legendary gift packages in the mail so come on folks, come back to Diablo.

- A portal to the Treasure Realm opened up for me after I was playing for 5 minutes. I went from 5mil gold to 20mil!! It was awesome. Also got 3 legendary items and 2 legendary gems (my first) from it.
- Kadala was kind and gave me 2 pieces of the Roland set for my crusader.
- Ran 5 normal rifts and 2 greater rifts (T2 and T3) with a buddy. Didn't get much to note but it was fun.

The time limit is indeed use to entice you to complete to access upgrading your Gems which in turn does help throughout the rest of the game. The higher the rift the greater amount of XP (increase your Parallon points) along with better drops

The Green Set items can actually appear anywhere. Before the last patch I would say about 50% of mine came from Kadala with the rest from GR's, normal Rifts and even Bounties. But lately Kadala has been pretty stingy and I've got equal amount from GR's & Rifts. I think the randomness is far more "chancy" in Diablo due to the sheer amount of items. I'm not sure if anyone really have more fine tuning and options at customizing your character for sure.knows the amount of possible items in their catalog versus Destiny. But in diablo you

The set is ok at first but there are better stuff out there but solely depends on the build and items within the build. There are plenty set items out there that do work like the dual sword set for the Barbarian and the ones the Witch Doctor and Wizard uses. Don't forget you can re-roll items to get specific qualities...raise or change Strength, Armor, Resistance. Also it's almost a given if you take "Vitality" out of a weapon you will get a option of adding a socket...which you then put a mega gem in for Critical Damage buff which is huge
Thanks

Don't forget if you get a puzzle ring to drop, you can stuff it into the cube to open a portal to the Treasure Realm as well.

So I started back in on D3 recently. Picked it up when Reaper came out, ran thru the campaign and tested out the rifts. Then let it sit for a year or so. What would be the best bet for me? Im currently running a crusader at level 66 on expert mode. Should I just grind out XP doing bounties and rifts to 70 at expert or am I gimping myself gear wise?

I would say yes, do bounties and rifts. This way you'll be getting experience and chance for loot/drops.

Well...so far no diablo news at BlizzCon but it looks like consoles will be getting their Overwatch game come Spring 2016...
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UEYp1RTvllM?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
A stylized team-based shooter with a Pixar-like sense of animation, Overwatch takes place in a universe where superheroes and supervillains (many of whom are enhanced by technologically-advanced exoskeletons) duke it out for supremacy. Currently there are two modes for the game, both of which are 6v6 and objective-based. Payload challenges one team to move a bomb to a designated point while the other defends, while Point Control has players fight over several zones, similar to king of the hill.
Overwatch will launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in spring of 2016.

Re: Diablo III + Reaper of Souls (multi-platform)
I have to apologize about last night Gooter, I was totally unprepared and afterward realized my characters had experimental builds....where I had been messing with combination gear, especially the Demon Hunter. I was like why am I not doing serious damage...of course with three playing it's an extra 20% damage dealt as well.
I'm sure I didn't have "The Furnace" in the weapon slot with The Cube, which is one of those The Weapons in the game since it's attribute is 50% extra damage done to Elites. The other thing is with 3-4 it's a good idea of one being a support character but normally that's in higher runs. Or split any damage, resistance and health buffs among the players. In higher levels resistance is crucial be it cold, poison and especially arcane. Also anything gear that has anti-stun effect helps a lot.
I'll see what we're doing tonight;Dungeon Defenders, Pixel Junk Shooter, Knack, etc. I didn't realize but COD has split screen so maybe that......I cannot remember if we can do split screen online co-op or not. He can hold his own with the Whirlwind Barb I helped set him up on even though he likes his Wizard.

Re: Diablo III + Reaper of Souls (multi-platform)
Well hope you survived the weekend and your sanity is still in check......
Some details have emerged from the upcoming new patch and seems extensive especially for the PC (they have said it will come to the consoles)....
There's a whole new zone in 2.4 for Adventure mode only, which means it's not being shoehorned into the story. It's called Greyhallow Island and it's dark and mysterious and foresty, and wants to eat you; "the land itself is said to be hungry for blood", the game's website warned. Other areas have been expanded, again only in Adventure mode. You'll be able to go beyond the rubble in Leoric's Manor, and beyond the gates in the Ruins of Sescheron, into the Eternal Woods.
All - repeat, all - of the game's 24 sets of class armour (the ones with green writing) are being either revamped, revisited or revised. Thorns of the Invoker and the Shadow's Mantle are getting total overhauls
A two-piece Crusader flail and shield set is being added, and two-piece jewellery sets have been completely reworked. One ring set now has this bonkers bonus: "While this is your only Item Set Bonus, every Ancient item you have equipped increases your damage by 800 per cent and reduces your damage taken by four per cent."
Included in the set armour revamp are Set Dungeons, which are static - non-randomised - dungeons you can access only when you have all pieces of a certain armour set. Complete them and you'll get a cosmetic reward for that armour set, but if you master all armour sets belonging to one class, you'll get a fancier reward (I don't know what that is). The ultimate prize will be reserved for those who master all 24 Set Dungeons.
On top of that, 40 new Legendary powers have been added to the game, both to existing items and new ones. There are some MC Hammer-inspired trousers called Hammer Jammers with the caption "Stop! Hammer time." They boost Blessed Hammers damage.
There are also Empowered Rifts accessible via Greater Rifts and by spending a certain amount of gold. They offer an extra Legendary Gem upgrade at the end.
Finally (for the highlights), those temporary buffs you get in the console version of Diablo 3 - buffs to movement speed for smashing things, buffs to experience for killing lots of enemies, and buffs to resource gain for using traps to kill things - are coming to PC. The movement speed buff is great if you can pick a smashing path through a level.

Diablo 3's Gigantic New PS4 Patch Is Almost an Expansion, and It's Out Soon
http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2016/...d_its_out_soon
So, what's in patch 2.4.0? Well, the headline act here is a whole new location known as Greyhollow Island. The fresh setting won't feature any additional story content, however. Instead, it's designed to slot seamlessly into the title's post-game adventure mode, which is made up of randomised bounty missions among other activities. In other words, Greyhollow Island should offer an almost endless supply of further adventuring opportunities. What's more, it'll supposedly play host to a 'secret' that you'll have to discover for yourself. Intriguing.
That's not all you're getting, though. The update will also introduce loads of new legendary items, and will allow you to challenge specialised dungeons which put specific sets of armour to the test. The patch is due to release at some point before the 15th January, so shouldn't have too long to wait.

Re: Diablo III + Reaper of Souls (multi-platform)
This is a bit of a bump so bear with me please. I had D3 on my PS3, but hadn't touched it, or any other game in almost a year when I sold my PS3. Fast forward to last week and I got a new laptop, downloaded battlenet for a different game and it came with Diablo 3. Or so I thought. It turns out it was just a demo with access to act 1 and the ability to level a character up to level 13. I noticed a few differences in the game, but couldn't get deep enough to discover all the changes. So I'm left with 2 questions. First, could someone give me a quick rundown of the differences between the PS3 version and the current PC version? I tried Google, but all the articles I came across were written in 2014 or 15 and haven't kept up to date with the patches that have been released. For instance, I learned of gems and the cube from this thread. Second, is it worth dropping another 40 bucks on the PC version? I really do love the game, but I'm not nuts about having to get all my achivements again. If there are significant changes that improve the game, I may have to get it.
Edit: They didn't mention the gems of _________. Of course I'm aware of the original gems.

I haven't paid much attention to Diablo in awhile, but did you have the original release of D3 or the Ultimate Evil Edition? Just making sure since Ultimate Evil would include the expansion pack and have a lot of content in itself. After that, I believe the 360/PS3 versions stopped there, with no updates after version 2.03. You can probably scan through the patch notes of the major releases to see the new additions, with I believe the only difference is that PC's have Seasons and consoles don't. It's basically going to be new zones, more items, monsters, treasure goblins, rifts, etc.

I saw a friend from here playing the other day.....once in awhile I'll go in and tinker but haven't sat down and really jumped in....great fun game. There are some good stuff they released over the past year or so and graphically its a solid improvement. There are a few areas I actually didn't do like some of the higher range stuff and still looking for a few items.....if I can find the room to put them in. When you get around to do the casual rifts and even greater rifts, I'll run...those are always fun especially if you can get 2-4 to do several in a row. Add me if you want to....
