Pet Names
I was just thinking (Yes, I do that from time to time) about how I have named my two Rottweilers after characters in movies (Trinity & Nakita) and was wondering if any of you have named your pets after any video game persona or even other movie characters.

I named a couple of my cats after anime characters. Myung and Isamu from Macross Plus. I named my dog after my first motorcycle, a Shadow. He's a black dog. Seemed to fit.

Our two cats who came from the same litter are named Jack and Lily (Legend). In worked out nice, as Jack is very wild and adventurous and Lily is very laid back and likes to be treated like a "princess".

My dog, Abbot is named after a comic-book bit-character. One of my snakes is named Fred Weasly, from the Harry Potter books.
I almost named him Samonosuke from Onimusha, but I figured I'd get tired of explaining it. No one questions why you named a pet Fred.

No, but I named the dog in FFVIII after my two dogs....they were named Scout and Franny, so I renamed Angelo 'Frouty.'
I read in one of the gaming magazines a couple months back where this guy named his daughter after a video game character. I think it was FF related, maybe Aeris?

We were going to name our boy after his two grandfathers, but the only pattern that sounded good was James Robert. Seeing as how we live in the South, I wasn't going to help continue/fulfill the stereotype....
