I've been waiting since the Canadian airing on Sunday to discuss this. No spoilers, but this is a great episode. Blows the Orphan Black finale out of the water, IMHO.

That ending! I mean, almost every episode has been a "game changer", but that makes it seem like next season will take a very drastic change.
The only thing I didn't buy was Kellog being able to get "bad" Sadler to sign the company over to him. Even if they were on the same page, he would never do that as he wouldn't trust him enough to do so. And even if he did, it's just documents that "good" Sadler can easily dispute. Kinda' dumb for this show.
Otherwise, fantastic end to a fantastic season.

July 26th available on Netflix. I have about 3-4 episodes to go to finish it off. That's a very quick turnaround.
Anyone seen XIII? Another Canadian series that sounds interesting, both seasons on Netflix, and also the movie it's based off on with the same name, plan on seeing the movie first.

It would a be a bit odd for someone (Alec) to be that different when one is only a week older version of himself.

They hid the scar so I still wasn't really sure which one survived.
I think that lights scene out worked into other episodes or "memories".
I thought it worked well with Kira and Liber8 cooperating. Even better was she recognized she was supporting the broken system.
Still wondering who this traveler is.
Looks like Kellog is the real villain of the entire story?
I wonder if those mechs are from an established timeline, or a new one.

They're from John Doe's timeline. They signaled the beacon and that was the response they got, since they didn't seem to change the future. If they had changed the future, that signal would've gone nowhere.

I think Kellogg's takeover of Piron effectively kept John Doe's future intact. Just my theory.
And, are the Liber8 members now holed up in the same building with Chen and the Traveler? Sure seemed like it.

Holy shit that was awesome.
Total game changer for a 4th season. Hopefully Showcase in Canada gives this another season. I don't know how the Canadian ratings are, but funny how we're at the mercy of Canada. Those Mechs were really cool.
I always thought that Kellog was just a major annoying douche bag. Now he seems to be taking on a bigger role for next season.

XIII was cancelled after 2 seasons. The movie you're speaking of starred Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff. The movie was a 4 hour miniseries. I did see it, but not the series.
They were not part of the series. Stewart Townsend was the lead and played a different character.

I like Kellog, but the biggest problem with his character is that we never really know what his motivations are or what his interest in everything is; it's like the writers don't know what to do with him. Hopefully with the developments in the finale that'll change and we'll see a more realized character.

Well in season 1 I think he said he wanted to be left alone and privatier to live a happy rich life. Of course Kellog being Kellog, I'm sure it was just a line.
So I wonder if this means we won't see any more future flashbacks. If sleeve have resolved the original timeline is gone, then I wouldn't expect to see any. However, I suppose it is possible not all timelines collapse and it continued on. We'd then be left with the question of how you navigate the time tree.
At least in other instances you only have 2 branches and a sports almanac.

Great finale* to another phenomenal season. Kellogg said he had the help of Alec's female assistant in tricking him to sign the papers, which makes it much more believable than Kellogg handing him stuff to sign. She probably gave him papers to sign all the time. I'm guessing we'll see more flash-forwards to John Doe's future next season with Kellogg existing in both just like Alec did in earlier seasons.
I'm not sure what the point of the mechs is, but its occurred to me they could be the original Liber8 members from that future inside. Unlike Kellogg their grandmothers weren't killed so they'll still be born and grow up. Then they could get sent back in time to insure things are changed just like their previous versions were. So Lexa Doig could be in the show again as a different version of Sonya from the new future. Just a possible theory, not a spoiler or anything.
*I f-ing despise cliffhangers in sci-fi shows.

Mechs? I assume they are just soldiers in armor. Like Halo suits or something.
Its not like Keira won't find out Kellogg took over the company. Since she & Liber8 knows he wasn't in charge in their future, that will tell them what has to be changed.
As of now, I don't think Kellogg is evil, just greedy for wealth/power. Pretty much the way he's always been. Season 1, he broke away from Liber8 to get rich with future knowledge.

I guess these are US figures. Difficult to find Canadian sourced numbers.

The mechs seem to be from a third, new future. If they were John Doe's pals, he wouldn't have been afraid of them.

What? What happened to you're crazy marathon? . Thought you would have finished the season 2 weeks ago.

They say XIII the series is loosely based on the movie, so just for completion sake, thought I'd throw in the movie also.
Starting to think the Canadians are on to something.... Continuum is one of my most favorite shows of all time, I'm willing to spend the time on XIII.

I know it wasn't subtle or anything. I guess the more appropriate question is whether or not Liber8 is aware they're in the same building with Chen and the Traveller. Picturing a scene in the season 4 premiere of Curtis turning a corner, bumping into the Traveler, saying "WTF?"
