Continuum (S3E10) -- "Revolutions Per Minute" -- 6/6/14

A shocking discovery is made by Kiera, whose connection with the mysterious John Doe grows deeper, at the same, her relationship with the Freelancers is being pushed to the limit. Meanwhile, Alec crosses the Rubicon to protect his legacy.

Episode 10 of 13

Are we happy with the thread titling? Please stick to talking about episode 10, not future episodes that haven't aired in the U.S. yet. Canada is only 1 episode ahead now.

Seems to me that John Doe has traveled back from a different future than Kiera's, one where Kellogg has used his knowledge to basically take over Alec's future role. If that's the case, that certainly doesn't bode well for Kiera's chances of ever seeing her husband and son again.

I'm up to date and still enjoying it but I think this season is getting more convoluted and harder to keep stuff together. What are you referring when you say Alec had to cross the Rubicon?

And what's up with the reveal that John Doe killed Kiera, when we already saw earlier in the season that the Asian guy did it?

Wow, what a fantastic episode. I think this may have been the best of the season.

Poor Jason. I was excited to see him regain himself. The the device backfires.

I think crossing the rubicon means Alec taking the CMR and acting like nothing happened.

As far as J Doe killing her, I think the previous render wasn't complete. It also looks like the device with the orange glowing is his. I wonder if he's further from the future.

Dillon is so far out of control he's lost it. I hope he doesn't know any future links, because if he finds out he'll go even further off the deep end.

Re: Continuum (S3E10) -- "Revolutions Per Minute" -- 6/6/14

Alec 1.0 is a real bastard. He does something touching like dress down for the ceremony yet stole the CMR and withholds the video from Kiera.

Strange reveal about Joe Doe. Just a couple of episodes ago Kiera mentioned how unexpectedly comfortable she felt around.

Poor, poor Jason. He's the last of the truly likely characters after this season's time shift. Everyone else (Kiera, Carlos, Alec, and Dillion) have all gone grey.

I think it's complicated. Everyone is keeping secrets. Things may be different in this timeline too.

3 episodes to see what they decide to do for the future of the show. Right now I can't see clearly where they may go. Basically they can go everywhere.

I'm thinking Kiera will rescue the Alec in time traveler jail and the current jerk one running the company will be killed. I don't even remember, which one came back in time?

The time traveler Alec is the one currently imprisoned by the Freelancers.

Look at the angle of his shot and where his face is pointed. He wasn't shooting at Kiera, he was shooting at somebody near Kiera.

I think he's more likely from an alternate future, where Kellogg became famous and Sadler didn't. That's why he didn't recognize who Sadler was.

It's true we should be seeing people from much farther in the future. I think that's who the Freelancers are, but it's not confirmed exactly when they're from.

So you didn't believe their story about "of this time"?

Did they ever say what year the mystery person travelled back from to start the Freelancers?

If they are all further from the future, I'd expect better tech than that rickety chair.

When the Freelance founder was from way into the future. He went back in time (1000 years) to start the cult to protect the time line. That chair was probably made with the tech of today.

It's been a very ambitious arc this season, one that has probably worked better for the characterization than the actual plot. There are so many different, shifting future alliances that the present is too murky.

Canada is still one episode ahead. The next episode (#11) answers a lot of questions, including at least one I didn't even think about but should have.

And it was a fucking game changer!
God I love this show!
I love it when shows are smarter than their viewers and come up with things I hadn't considered. Such a rare thing, really.

I thought we said keep Canadian discussion and references out of these threads until after they air.

Think of it as a non-spoiler teaser to whet your appetite.
