Re: The Middle (ABC) -- Series Thread
The Middle is a really underrated comedy. Loved the season finale from last season when the Heck's went to Disneyworld. ABC doesn't even own this show, so I'm pleased it's done well enough to stay on the air.

Ahhh...looking forward to the Year of Sue, and I prefer the Heck clan over the Dunphys, Pritchetts.
Eden Sher's squeal of delight was perfect. It makes sense that after years in braces, Sue's teeth starts shifting after only a few days! And allows Axl to quickly get his groove back:
"WHY are we still throwing money at this?? Why don't we just move her to a bell tower in Paris and call it a day?"
Don't think he can be labeled as cute anymore, especially when you're prancing around last season in a suit from Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" Collection. But certainly the actor's own growth spurt will heighten the awkward and quirky character that is Brick.
Nice call back this week with Frankie/Mike initially taking home the Ferguson baby.

We are having a banner made for the craft shows we do for the woodworking. We have a to choose a font. Could really use one of Brick's fontcasts now.

"I don't like people. I'm just here to get my nursing degree and get out of here."
Poor homesick Sue, now stuck with her polar opposite at her dorm. ("She called Taylor Swift a skank and I told her she's just lucky in love!" )
There are ants everywhere. How did this happened?
I thought you sprayed something.
Well, all I had was Axe bodyspray.
Well now they're more confident than ever!
Glad to have this show back and actually happy McDermott's pilot didn't pick up. That brother-sister moment at the end of last nite's ep was sweet.

FRANKIE AND MIKE FINALLY MEET THE LOVE OF AXL'S LIFE BUT DISCOVER THAT SHE HAS A QUIRKY PERSONALITY TRAIT; SUE WANTS TO CHANGE HER MAJOR TO THEATER; AND BRICK IS STARTING HIGH SCHOOL AND TRIES TO CHANGE HIS IMAGE FROM WEIRD TO COOL, ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF ABC'S 'THE MIDDLE'
'The Middle' Airs on Its New Night, Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m.
Two-time Emmy-winner Patricia Heaton stars in this warm and witty single-camera comedy about raising a family and lowering your expectations, on the season premiere of "The Middle" on its new night, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network. Middle-aged, middle class and living in the middle of the country in Orson, Indiana, Frankie Heck is a harried wife and mother of three who uses her wry wit and sense of humor to get her family through each day intact. Frankie works as a dental assistant, and her unflappable husband, Mike, is manager at the local quarry and her sardonic partner in the daily grind that is raising their average - yes, most definitely average - family.
This year, the kids will find themselves breaking out of their comfort zones and navigating new situations than what they're used to - which may or may not be very comforting to Frankie and Mike.
On the season premiere episode, "The Core Group," Frankie and Mike are excited to meet April (Greer Grammer) - the love of Axl's life - but discover that love may indeed be blind when April reveals a quirky personality trait. Meanwhile, after getting bit by the acting bug while working at Dollywood over the summer, Sue wants to change her major to theater, and Brick is starting high school and making it his mission to try for a fresh start and not be considered one of the weird kids.
"The Middle" stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue and Atticus Shaffer as Brick.
Guest starring are Greer Grammer as April, Casey Burke as Cindy, Will Green as Jeremy, Brock Ciarlelli as Brad Bottig, Matt Cornett as Duncan, Crystal Shannon as freshman girl, Ted Stavros as freshman boy and Martha Thatcher as girl.
"The Core Group" was written by Ilana Wernick and directed by Lee Shallat Chemel.

Looking forward to this show. Unfortunately this show is also suffering from the kids growing up and not being cute anymore. But not as big a drop-off in quality as MF
