I set the DVR as well. Wonder if the extra footage will be of any substance.
I watched this on Hulu back in June and really liked it. Great cast and good music.

I'm watching the directors cut right now and I don't see anything that I recall being different. Regardless, I'm really enjoying this and I can't wait for the rest of the season to start.

I didn't remember seeing the Glee teacher singing and the scene where the coach was trying to pick up the obsessive compulsive chick with tickets to the monster trucks that breathe fire. I could be wrong though. Enjoyed this more a second time around.

I fast forwarded through it since it was basically the pilot - the only thing that I remember as being new was the coach trying to pick up the redhead with monster truck tickets as mentioned above.
I didn't like that scene - the coach came off as being extremely childish and unlikeable. Compare that to the women's coach who comes off as just being mean, but in a funny way.
Anyway, the season premier is next Wednesday.

Man, FOX is really promoting this show. I just got back from Great Clips and there are posters for it all over the store, and they give you a Glee magnet on the way out. Wheeeee!

I think there's a slight difference in the editing, -not just the inclusion of the scenes, per se, -that gives the pilot a little more heart ...

I've meaning to catch this show because I think Jane Lynch is pretty cool in pretty much everything I've seen her in. Are all the eps up online?

I've had this on my phone forever and never got a chance to watch it. Thanks to insomnia and Tivo caught it the other night and am anxious for the season to start. The ads were getting on my nerves in the spring and made the show look less substantial than it is - and I really enjoyed it. But its a quality show on Fox so I'm going to try not to get too attached

There were a couple of really, really minor edits that I only noticed because I've watched the pilot about 8 times, the football players laugh at him when he says he needs guys for Glee Club. The Emerald Dreams guy first scene (Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin') is a little bit longer where they both sing. But we're talking like <5 seconds/scene difference.
The monster truck scene was the only really major difference.

I think this is the regular version. My Tivo has caught both and it woludn't do that usually if they were exactly the same. And it states last weeks included extra footage--it doesn't say that for tonight's.

It's either this one or "Casting Session" below it: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KG9B0C
That said, even if they did use them all, 67 songs is only 5 per hour-long episode, keeping in mind that many of them may only be a minute here or there to open/close scenes.
