Are you region free?

You can pre-order the House 1-4 box set (UK Exclusive) for only $55

http://www.arrowfilms.co.uk/shop/ind...product_id=909

That's 2 more movies included at roughly the same price point.

I didn't even know there was a part 3 & 4 of House. Maybe we should keep it that way

Very surprising BD release announcement. Juice 25th Anniversary edition. Comes out June 6th.

https://www.amazon.com/Juice-Blu-ray...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

It's loaded with extras:

Special Features:
Audio Commentary by director Ernest R. Dickerson
You've Got the Juice Now — A look back at the making of the film featuring brand new interviews with director Ernest R. Dickerson, producer David Heyman and actors Omar Epps, Khalil Kain and Jermaine Hopkins. The piece details Dickerson's struggle to remain true to his original vision, his desire to cast fresh new talent, the challenges of shooting on location in Harlem, and the reasons why the film's ending was changed.
The Wrecking Crew — The film's surviving lead actors talk about how they came to be cast in the film and the bonds they immediately formed with one another. They additionally share stories about Tupac Shakur's drive, authenticity and unmistakable genius, as well as their delight at getting to work with Samuel L. Jackson, Queen Latifah and Cindy Herron.
Sip the Juice: The Music — Explores the essential role that music plays in the film. Features vintage interviews with the Shocklee brothers about their score, as well as Erik B, EPMD, and members of Cypress Hill speaking about their contributions to the unforgettable soundtrack and why they chose to be a part of the film.
Stay in the Scene: The Interview — Vintage interview with the four lead cast members on set. The piece demonstrates their rapport as they discuss the importance of the film and its message.
Photo Gallery — Unit photographer Adger Cowans' photos taken on set.

I saw this on VHS while I was in college. It's a really good Urban/Hip Hop drama. Omar Epps is the star and this movie also featured Tupac Shakur.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

Disney Movie Club is getting all three Mighty Ducks movies on May 23rd. They also got Cool Runnings back in March. It's unfortunate because I probably would have picked all of those up in store if the price was right.

I'd love all those movies but not sure I want to rejoin the Disney Movie Club.

I want the first one only, I didn't care for the sequels. I did pick up Cool Runnings. Very good transfer.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

I was guessing FNL would be Mill Creek, and I was right. 13 discs for $99.99 SRP.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

Now that is a surprising announcement that I like. I wonder how many FNL fans are left around to get it. I've seen the individual DVD sets dumped at Big Lots and the like.

I'll likely get it when FNL comes down to a reasonable price like Miami Vice.

Nice! I've debated grabbing the seasons on DVD at Half Price with coupons (making them around $4 ea) but I think I might spend the extra scratch for the BDs.

Apparently a 2nd S.W.A.T. straight to video sequel is coming to BD this August.

It stars a few familiar faces.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

Probably not worth starting it's own thread for, but it was a nice surprise to see Sam Raimi's For Love of the Game coming to Blu Ray on Aug. 8th. It appears to be a Best Buy timed exclusive, but I'll probably bite for $9.99. I just watched it a few weeks ago when it was on and still enjoyed it all these years later. Costner was great in it.

Very weird Mill Creek is releasing that. I'm guessing a new transfer? No specs yet.

Mill Creek already released this in 2014, with improved AVC Codec (over the Sony 2007 MPEG-2 release), but was the same transfer. The Sony had a lossless 5.1, but the 2014 Mill Creek only had DD 2.0!
The new Mill Creek Steel Book now has 5.1 surround but nothing saying it's lossless. There's also no mention of a re-master.
