Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.

Good catch! I might have to get that. Is it as good as Band of Brothers? I don't know much about it...

Yet another crappy change to the membership program! Well, I'm riding this 2-month free membership out as long as I can, but I'm definitely quitting after that...

I'm wondering if this has to do with me actually using a Visa, since you mentioned you used a different card.
My only guess is that you are buying something that says coupons are not valid with it. Try a different item just as a test and see if it works.

There may be a browser cookie that stores the info from the Visa link. When I use coupons at B&N.com I use the Discover Card link because I get 10% back and it works coupons. Once I click the B&N/Discover link the site knows I came via Discover even if I close the window and open another. My point is you may need time for the cookie to expire or, if you know how, you may need to delete the B&N cookies and start over.

Thanks for the 30% off coupon, I used it to buy Stephen Thrower's book Nightmare USA for $8 less than it would have been on Amazon.

Thanks, Sweet Baby James! Sucks for me though.

So there's two 30% off member coupons to use? I'll go into a store today and see if there's anything interesting.

If you have a child to buy for, the 30% off coupon can save a lot of money on expensive Lego sets.

I've only seen the first episode when it was free OnDemand. The TV thread at this site about the series wasn't that positive about the show, but Blu-ray reviews I've read have been very positive. I liked the episode I saw, but it certainly had a different feel than Band of Brothers. BoB is my favorite series ever, and if you consider it a movie maybe my favorite movie ever, so The Pacific is worth taking a risk on for me. What I noticed in the first episode was that it was hard to know who any character was, but the episode did a great job capturing the haunting feel of fighting the enemy in the jungle and the dark, the spookiness that too much quiet could bring on.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I bought an book a week ago using the 25% off coupon off the website. The price has dropped to below the price with the coupon. Can I return the book to a store for a refund?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

The Pacific and BoB tell different stories and each one has a different feel to it. Personally, I'd give BoB 5/5 stars and the Pacific 4/5.

Every individual season of MASH plus the Goodbye, Farewell, & Amen DVD with all the bonus features is $9.89 before any coupon. I picked up the first 3 seasons and the finale DVD (for the bonus features). I would have picked up the whole series but I can't afford to with all the other stuff I want to get this week.

Your view of it seems pretty consistent with what I've read and about what I expect from The Pacific.

I found The Pacific to be MUCH more depressing of a show to watch than BOB. BOB takes an episode to get viewers hooked whereas TP has major down time away from battles throughout the 10 episodes. Some of the last few episodes are incredible though and worth waiting for.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

The tone and structure of BoB and the Pacific are very different. I think they're both brilliant, and only slightly prefer BoB because I'm personally more interested in the European arena of WW2, and BoB came out first. It was groundbreaking at the time, thus anything to follow walks in its shadow. I think both series are amazing and well worth owning.

Where was that 30% off coupon during the Criterion sale? I sure would have picked up a few more titles if it were around.

Did they disable the Visa link + coupon codes? I can't get the 30% off to work at all anymore, with multiple email addresses and browsers.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

was going to wait a few more days to see if they would lower the price of The Complete Metropolis Bd, which could bring it under $20 with the 30% off coup., but I'm seeing now they have a 'ships in 1 to 2 weeks' estimate on it, so I'm guessing lowering the price anymore won't be a high priority on this one.

I probably should just bide my time on this one as the Kino Bds seem to show up in heavily discounted sales only a few months after they street.

Ended up using the 30% off on Absolute All-Star Superman, which brought the price down to $55.xx ($60.67 w/ tax). I just checked my account history and on 11/25/09 I ordered Absolute Justice for $44.xx. Last year there was a 40% coupon out there, which I made great use of online and in-store.
Don't think I'll be getting as much use out of the 30% off.

Just used it to get free shipping on a non-member account with the coupon.
