I love the first hour of the original. It has a personality. A nutty, gory, twisty, action comedy. After the first hour, it gets too goofy and has too many repetitive chases.

I think the first 70 or so minutes of the original is pretty genius.

I'm not expecting much from the remake. Nothing about it sounds too exciting so far.

It's interesting how some movies look completely of their time, but others look slick enough to fit in with other movies, years later. Total Recall look totally 1990.
