The reviews are promising, as we know most mainstream critics are just looking for an excuse to bring Cruise down a notch or two. Either that, or all those critics are closet Scientologists. ;)

A lot of people don't seem to like the guy, but Cruise really delivers in his movies. No "phoning it in" for this actor, that's for sure. You get your $$$ worth in a Tom Cruise action flick.

I thought JJ Abrams' entry felt very much like an episode of the series. The last one wasn't too bad, either. It's the first two films in the franchise that never felt quite right.

Anyone think Paramount will really release their tentpole franchise a week after STAR WARS? I bet you this gets bumped to 2016 at some point.
